Destructive Creation has announced that its controversial top-down action title, Hatred, will be released on June 1st. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team has also released a new gameplay trailer that can be viewed below. As the team noted, this new trailer contains intense footage of its gameplay. I have a feeling that the protagonist is some kind of demonically possessed person who is being forced to do all those horribly evil things by the demon possessing him. And we are supposed to be that demon that is controlling him in 3rd person. Maybe this was the intention of the developer all along.

There has to be more to it than that for me to get invested in the story. Just killing lots and lots of people without any reason at all will get boring quickly, at least for me. The game is also a third person isometric shooter, not the most immersive view to be playing these kinds of shooters. I would have preferred it to be behind the shoulder 3rd person or even in 1st person if they want me to kill lots of civilians for fun and enjoyment.
Then accept that the game is not for you?
The developers have stated several times that they don’t necessarily plan on having any plot to the game.

I will still be enjoying the game but I would have enjoyed the game even more if their was some kind of supernatural evil force behind his actions that you could eventually face off in the end. Killing innocent civilians and cops seems very one dimensional to me.

My guess is that the game will go deeper into the characters psyche and we’ll find out more about his psychology and psychiatric health/condition.

And then it would drown in the seas of generic FPS and TPS already out there. Not to mention you couldn’t properly appreciate all the mayhem and destruction in this game unless you have an isometric perspective. This game tries to capture the feeling of other titles such as Syndicate or The Chaos Engine.

One of the developers has confirmed both Nvidia and AMD users will have the same amount of physics in the game. For those who have forgotten or were unaware this game does use Nvidia PhysX.
The character looks reminds me of the main character from The Darkness. Just the way it looks.
Any ways, this game will be perfect after playing some Fifa 15 in Pro Clubs mode…lol
