Microsoft has announced that over 10 million players have played Halo: The Master Chief Collection since its release on Steam and Windows Store. Not only that, but the vast majority of them are brand new to the franchise.
As Microsoft stated:
“We launched Halo: The Master Chief Collection at the end of 2019 on the PC as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC; since then, over 10 million players have played it, with the vast majority of them being brand new to the franchise.”
Additionally, 343 Industries released a new patch for Halo: MCC. This patch adds a test-ready version of the Custom Game Browser to the collection. This feature will be enabled for a limited time to stress test the CGB and prepare for a full launch. For this test, only Halo: Reach will be playable.
In other news, Microsoft announced that starting on August 1 the developer share of Microsoft Store PC games sales net revenue will increase to 88%, from 70%. This is most likely in response to Epic’s 12% fee on its own store.

No they won’t fix it, and it’s not possible to fix it as it involves a lot of work.
The port they are using for MCC HCE and HCEA is made from the busted gearbox port, that is not possible to fix. You need Halo Custom edition and maps with mods like Chimera to fix without that and then there’s EAX Sound FX loss with MCC HCEA.
They are not fixing the netcode of the LocanLAN MP latency how will they fix such a big thing ?
M$ wants Gaypass money and users, this is to lure all those idiotic MP players of Halo games to come and play Gaylo Infinite F2P MP T rated trash game.

Its a super fun game. Anyone who hasn’t played it yet should definitely give it a shot. For the price, you get nearly infinite replay value and multiplayer is excellent.
When I tried the MCC it was a poorly optimized mess.
It had mouse lag.
You couldn’t go higher then 120 FPS.
Even with 120 FPS moveable objects still refreshed at 30 FPS.
Installing the games is a total mess with it’s own launcher.
Every game has it’s own graphics problems.
It just didn’t feel like a proper PC game, but a console port.
I had the exact opposite experience – all games ran really well on a old GTX 1060 6gb, it really surprised me. Even on max settings, I was getting constant 120 frames.
Old games made for Xbox 360 ran well on a graphic card way more powerful? Wow, that sure is surprising s/
That’s not really the point of my comment, but ok. The improvement of graphic cards isn’t linear. I’m sure a GTX1060 isn’t 4x as powerful as a Xenon GPU on the 360, consdering the higher resolution and frames.
It’s interesting that people with cutting edge hardware got disappointed with the port while people with mid range hardware( i got a GTX 1060 too) didn’t have problems with it, but that’s mostly because of the game not being optimized for said hardware (144 hz monitors, etc)
Well, can you blame them? When you fork a good amount of money on a new GPU, you expect over the top performance, the good old created expectation.
Sadly we coming hard to a plateau in game performance and graphics, there’s no more room for a generational leap like before. The push will be to photorealistic effects and higher and higher resolutions. Improvements in frametime will be a selling point too, altough the difference between 30 fps to 60fps is 16.6ms, from 60fps to 240fps is 12.2ms, and so forth, tending to zero.
Graphics are as good as it is IMO, so unless the tech gets cheaper, i rather devs don’t cather to high end players too much. These halo games could be optimized to play on a Windows XP and DirectX9.0c in theory.
games run fine on my rig, in fact everyone i know has 0 problems.
not saying the game is perfect, it has small bugs, but overall runs fine, 343i are constantly on the forums finding and hearing out the community to fix bugs and add in new features. we just got a custom game browser which we all have been asking for.

Well I did play it a few months ago so maybe they have fixed things.
I do admit I’m quite nitpicky about performance and input related issues which normal people may not think is a big deal.
Yeah this site is full of pretty extreme comments and weird people, but at least it’s not PC gamer (or all the others) where they do post SJW opinion pieces and then block the comment section.
I think everyone on this site loves gaming a lot, but because gaming isn’t as simple anymore since the advent of mtx, gambling, live services and social pandering people are just becoming more pissed off.
