The Video Game Awards 2019 show begins in around two hours, and unfortunately Half-Life: Alyx won’t be shown at it. This comes straight from Valve, so don’t expect to see any new gameplay footage tonight.
We're sorry to say Half-Life: Alyx won’t be shown at The Game Awards tonight. The team is hard at work on the game, and we’re excited to show you more in the new year as we approach the March release!

According to Valve, its development team is hard at work and promises to show more in 2020.
Half-Life: Alyx is set in the 20 year time gap between Half-Life and Half-Life 2. The game will be using Source 2 Engine and will feature a single-player, story-driven linear FPS campaign. The game will also heavily utilize physics and will include a physical player body.
Half-Life: Alyx is coming to the PC in March 2020.
Stay tuned for more!

Would be a broken mess. Ever seen Jurassic Park: Trespasser? That’s what you’d get in modern day form.
Delay incoming. No release in 2020, the new HL 3. Nobody cares baout VR anyway.
“Nobody cares about VR”
2019: Valve Index sells out, Oculus Quest sells out, Oculus Go and Oculus Rift S hit top 50 Amazon sale charts for video games category, Boneworks hits #1 recent release top selling game on Steam, and Half-Life: Alyx trailer generates 9 million YouTube views and has the most discussed reveal on r/gaming by more than 5x a juggernaut like Cyberpunk 2077.
The fact that you cite trailer views (?!) as a proof of anything says enough
Bought the Valve Index. I am so ready
I care about VR, Its great!
Who gives a f0k a part the 1%… Black Mesa is here to fill the gap for everyone.

the only company that can be no-shows consecutively for 10 years in a row and still win over fans.

THIS SOME BULLS**T, WTF??? WHY YOU GOT ALL US HYPED FOR FOOOLS , WHAT THE F*K?!?!??! IN A SCALE OF 1 TO 10 … WHAT THE F*K?!?!?!?
Nope. They rehired a writer and are consulting with another writer, which means most of the original writers are involved in some capacity.
HIGHLY DOUBT!
Tehy’ve designed this with a sole purpose…a “highly-immersive VR experience”
Not true, The game currently uses teleportation movement, which would have upset a lot of us VR gamers, Hence why they delayed the bigger reveal to implement better locomotion.
