Gungrave GORE Blood Heat feature

Gungrave GORE Blood Heat is a full remake on a new engine

In 2022, Prime Matter released a new Gungrave game, called Gungrave G.O.R.E. That game was powered by Unreal Engine 4, and it was a big letdown for most Gungrave fans. Or at least that was my take on it. And, believe it or not, a full remake of it is currently in development.

A few minutes ago, Microsoft released a trailer for Gungrave GORE Blood Heat. Gungrave GORE Blood Heat will be using a new engine, and it will have numerous QoL improvements. To be more precise, it will come with new systems, more refined characters and background, the return of heritage, as well as exclusive characters.

Since Gungrave G.O.R.E. used Unreal Engine 4, I’m almost certain this remake uses Unreal Engine 5. So, I really hope this remake will not suffer from the shader compilation stutters of its predecessor. Yes, you read that right. A UE4 game also had PSO stutters. These stutters are not exclusive to UE5.

The following trailer will give you a glimpse at the graphics of this upcoming remake. It does look great, so here is hoping that it will be more polished than its original version.

There is currently no ETA on when Gungrave GORE Blood Heat will come out. Naturally, though, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy!

  1. The type of game that's cool to low testostrone midgets/teenagers.
Everything that's cool to Asians is so lame and low testostrone that makes me want to vomit.

  2. I can't help but to feel that the devs should work together with Arc System Works for this franchise. the issue is not the art or the game engine. the issue is the conversion of art from 2D to 3D/Realism. not everything seems to bold well when embracing realism. the anime had such amazing art and it can get drowned out switching to full 3D.

Arc System Works gives some of the best presentation on how to respect the art style when converting it to 3D.
