505 Games and Epic Games are currently offering for free the first Ghostrunner game on Epic Games Store for a limited time. For the next 22 hours, PC gamers can visit its EGS page and acquire their free copy.
Ghostrunner offers fast-paced, violent combat, and an original setting that blends science fiction with post-apocalyptic themes. It tells the story of a world that has already ended and its inhabitants who fight to survive.
Ghostrunner was one of the most-optimized PC games of 2020. The game ran incredibly well on a variety of PC configurations. What’s also interesting here is that I don’t remember any shader compilation stutters in that game. On the other hand, its sequel has major shader compilation stutters. That was one of the main reasons it did not make it to our “Top 10 Most Optimized PC Games of 2023” list. Not only that but it supported Ray Tracing from the get-go. As for the sequel, it still does not support any RT effects.
Anyway, you can go ahead and get your free copy from this link.
Have fun!

Great game but hard a bit.
It’s one of those frustrating rinse-and-repeat-until perfect games. That’s an old school approach to making games to string out the duration of what is simply minimal content.
it was one of the best games of 2020 made for true ninjas like me THE
SHREDDER. ONly i Orokusaki The Shredder the leader of the foot ninjas
can finish it. Most people who didnt like it could not finish it. I will
play ghost runner 2 too soon!!!
Found the game very boring.
Ghostrunner 2 has been a commercial failure it seems. Peak player count was 2,264 on launch, which is truly abysmal. There are only 290 still playing this game (SteamDB), even though it was released only 3 months ago.
Ghostrunner 2 has already been discounted by 70% on both Steam and GoG. Yet, even with this massive discount, it is not even in the top 300 of sales.
Publisher 505 games had to fire 30% of its staff last month, and shares of developer One More Level tanked in November by half.
Not a good look and likely a commercial failure, even though the developer claims they have managed to recoup the development costs, but refuses to release financial data.

I appreciate you sharing this blog post. Thanks Again. Cool.
I get the atmosphere and cyberpunk genre appeal of this series but it’s just a glorified online killathon imo, there’s no open world to it nor anything but parkour and spidy stuff to the next kill. I played some of the first one so not sure if they have anything else in the second but nah. If this didn’t have the fancy effects and such they could just make it an online csgo type game and print money.
