Saber Interactive has announced the release date for Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered. According to the team, this remastered version of the PS3/X360-era Ghostbusters game will come out on October 4th.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is an action adventure game based on the Ghostbusters media franchise. The game was developed by Terminal Reality and was released in 2009.

The game features the voices and in-game likenesses of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson. Moreover, it has an original story penned by the writers of the original films – Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis.

In case you weren’t aware of, this Ghostbusters game is a sequel to the second Ghostbusters movie (it is often described as “what the third GB movie should have been”). Not only that, it is also canon to the timeline of the original movies.

Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered will be another Epic Games Store exclusive. Moreover, there isn’t any word yet on whether it will come out on Steam after a six-month or a year period.

Enjoy!

  1. What? Why would they remaster this, instead of making a game based off the colossal success of the female SJW reboot? Huh…..

    1. Because it use tons of polygon just for the character body and the colored hair itself so it required NASA computers to run the games, which not all people can afford it…

  2. Plot twist: Stranger things is a childhood era story of Ghostbusters member…and they change their names when their adult because the agreement between them and secret government organization after the incident in Hawkins…

  3. I hope somebody makes a mod to use the females protagonists from the reboot. My wife would love to play it, as we both enjoyed the new movie.

    1. It didn’t have the best optimisation and the PC version lacked the multiplayer part of the game. Hope we get it this time.

  4. right? this game didnt get received very well, not sure who they think is gonna want it now. Probably why they just upped the resolution and called it a day.
