And the moment has come. At this year’s PC Gaming E3 2015 conference, The Coalition Studio head Rod Fergusson announced that Gears of War: Ultimate Edition is coming to the PC. Gears of War Ultimate Edition features upgraded visuals. Rod Fergusson also hinted that Gears of War 4 will be coming to the PC, though he could not officially confirm it at this point (obviously it will be timed exclusive for Xbox One). Before anyone gets too excited it is just the first game. That was already available on PC.
Gears of War 2, 3 and Judgement are not included in the Ultimate Edition.
This is all thanks to the sales of Diablo 3 back in 2011. The PC has finally managed to shake off this fallacy of being “the piracy platform.”

blizzard never had problem selling their games on PC. pretty sure this has to do with the platform as a whole (especially steam) doing better than ever

Windows 10 need some exclusive games, let’s see how much we are going to have after 1 year of W10. the 1st Gears of war on PC was a total garbage port.
I played it on release date on pc but that was 9 years ago. I will gladly play it again because of the much better graphics that the new pc version will have compared to the old one.
If they dont bring the other parts of the series as well there is no point in releasing it again on PC. Its like Halo, here guys first part of the series if you want to play the others buy an Xbox, yeah, f u too.
yeah the first is already on pc. and this trailer didn’t do it any favors, unless they tack on 2 and 3 your can get this right now, and probably run it,full speed and prettied up. w/onboard graphics, nvidia and amd need not apply.

At least the MP was fun so this is a good oportunity to revive it. Hope they will release it with Steamworks support and not that GFWL sht revived or something.

Yes, I’m still upgrading, yes DX12 will be good, yes good news that some good games are being released on PC and yes I’m still raising my middle finger to all of this.
Because it is Microsoft. They didn’t care in years and they still won’t for years to come, now I fell like they are trying to treat the PC user base and XBOX user base as the same thing, which is nonsense if you ask me.
Also let’s not forget, it’s f’ing E3 (backed by our lovely friends of ESA, remember them?), as much as games excite me (and this year was something to give them credit), when it ends is all back to normal, everything we are going to hear are pre-order this, pre-order that, exclusive this, first on that and so on, and so on.
