Football Manager 2025 will be a true next-gen revolution, using Unity Engine

Sports Interactive has revealed some new details about the next Football Manager games. According to the team, Football Manager 2024 will be an enhanced version of FM, whereas Football Manager 2025 will be a true next-gen revolution that will be using a brand new engine.

Going into more details, Football Manager 2025 will be using the Unity Engine.Unity’s Universal Render Pipeline (URP) will allow the team to create more optimal graphics across a range of platforms. Additionally, it will provide better-quality graphics across all supported devices.

As Sports Interactive stated:

“FM25 will have a significantly better-looking matchday experience – both on the pitch and the supporting stadium environments, alongside a vastly improved user interface that will dramatically improve how you navigate through screens and access all the information available to you as manager. We’ll also have new technology for Newgens and manager creation which are already looking really promising at this early stage.”

Football Manager 2025 will also have a new animation tech and ball physics. Not only that, but players can expect graphical upgrades in models, stadiums and the surrounding scenes that will be introduced in it.

Lastly, Football Manager 2025 will feature, for the first time in the series, women’s football.

    1. Many millions are still playing it. I’m befuddled by it as well, they’ve been churning the same game out every year for twenty years with minimal changes that made the game run slower and required a much bigger time investment. They’ve milked this cow to death.

      1. Why would that surprise anyone? Sports (Football in particular) are very popular, and we already have FIFA (sorry, EA Sports FC) with the annual coat of paint being best seller every year.

    2. because as fans there’s no better avenue that can give you the ability to manage your club better than the real managers and coaches in real life, that alone is a strong auto marketing that most games don’t have.

  1. Mkdev is licking his lips.

Imagine you’re sports interactive, and put denuvo on your game, the single hardest DRM around. And there’s this guy, that shows up once a year, doesn’t say a word, cracks only your game and then vanishes until next year. I find it just hilarious
