AMD has lifted the review embargo for the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT and the first third-party gaming benchmarks have appeared online. According to multiple sources, this new GPU is slower than the RTX3070 in most PC games, though there are a few exceptions here and there.
Tweaktown claims that the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT is significantly faster than the RTX3070 in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. AC: Valhalla always favoured AMD’s GPUs, so this isn’t a big surprise. Moreover, this latest AMD GPU is almost as fast as the RTX3070 in Metro Exodus.
PCGamesHardware states that the new AMD GPU is noticeably slower than the RTX3070 in both Crysis Remastered and Cyberpunk 2077.
Kitguru claims that the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT is slower than the RTX 3070 in Gears 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2.
WCCFTech states that the AMD Radeon RX 6700XT is faster than the RTX3070 in Forza Horizon 4. On the other hand, this GPU is slightly slower than the RTX 3070 in Horizon Zero Dawn.
Lastly, Guru3D claims that AMD’s latest GPU is slower than the RTX3070 in Resident Evil 3 Remake and Far Cry New Dawn.
I’ve also included below the reviews from Digital Foundry and HardwareUnboxed.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. AMD priced the 6700 XT wrong $20 cheaper than a 3070 when it should be $50 since it beats the 3060 Ti and only beats the 3070 in games that favor AMD’s arch.
Expensive, no stock, worse RT, no DLSS. DOA. Maybe miners will buy this and save AMD.
Not a bad product but definitely not worth $479 since it’s not on par with 3070 in the majority of titles.
