Final Fantasy 7 Remake-new-2

Final Fantasy 7 Remake leaked demo features PC code, references to AMD, NVIDIA and higher resolutions

A demo for Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been leaked on PSN and according to some dataminers, its code further hints towards a PC release. According to reports, the leaked demo mentions both AMD and NVIDIA in its code.

Furthermore, this Final Fantasy 7 Remake demo mentions higher/different resolutions than those found on PS4/PS4 Pro/Xbox One/Xbox One X. As usually, this PC code is most likely leftovers, though it does hint at a future PC release.

This of course does not surprise us. After all, it has already been revealed that the game will be timed-exclusive on Playstation 4. Therefore, we are almost certain that Final Fantasy 7 Remake will come out on the PC in 2021.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. obviously there will be a pc version but the game comes in 3 parts each one is as big as an actual game, so no point getting excited for playing 1/3 of the game at some point.

    1. My gameplan is to bootleg all 3 parts of FF7 and if they ever decide to sell all 3 parts as a complete remake on PC, instead of individually sold, then I will buy a COMPLETE FF7 remake, not this episodic crap. They can have my money, under my terms, not theirs.

    2. This is and will always be my big issue with the game, and why I’m not bothering with it ever.

Most overrated Final Fantasy game being remade in three parts, designed to milk nostalgia, instead of remaking a Final Famtasy game prior to 7 which deserves world wide success and recognition.

A game worthy of true worldwide recognition for how good they exactly were. Square should have remade 3, 4, or 6.

Much more interesting storylines, with better characters and infinitely better Antagonists.

We could have had seem Kefka in a modern game engine, but instead were getting the safe and typical boring as* Sephiroth, Hojo, and Jeneova. Oooo, evil soldier badas* turned villian, evil professor, and evil space alien life form come to kill us all!

Compared to a batsh*t and truly insane knight turned insane through experimentation with Magika that truly wants to destroy the world.m and everything about it. An extremely dangerous gigantic Octopus that has a personality, and an Empire that will go to all lengths to control Magika and seeks worldwide domination through the subjugation of all people and other empires.

They should have taken the chance, except they played the safe route. Cant possibly remale something people don’t instantly recognize and think I’d extremely good from the standards of when they were a little teenager or kid. Have to appeal to the inner 11-15 year olds in us. Otherwise they cant milk that glorious Nostalgia drug and mainline it into everybody.

      1. Forget that, 4 and 6 already have remakes (4 has it in 3d and 2d.) What we need is a full blown 3D remake of FF1. Hells yeah, fighting Tiamat, WarMECH, Lich, Kraken, Garland, Kary (Marilith for noobs) again in full blown 3D next gen graphics. Make that and I will happily buy the $500 collector’s edition of FF1 remake…just don’t make FF1 a 5 part episodic game? SPOILER ALERT: with each part as the lighting of each crystal with the last part being traveling back in time.

        1. Dude, I’d gladly take it.

Hell, even a god da*n tactics remake would be more welcomed than this sh*t!

I’m so sick of the praise FF7 gets, and it only does because that was the vast majority of the age range of current gamers first foray into JRPGs and they love it for that. It’s not that amazing, and in all honesty games that are underrated should be getting remakes, and ones that are praised like they’re the second coming of christ need to step aside for them.

My first was the original games, and I’d kill for them to be remade. I really would. But thay wouldn’t sell well and that’s the issue. The vast majority of people don’t know FF1.

They stand to make a lot of money from this remake, and nostalgia sells. That’s the reason they’re doing this. It’s not because it’s praised, it’s because they released they can cut the game up and repackage it In three parts and people will gladly flock along and buy them all. $180 worth of games from people, with the money of those who double dip.

  2. I mean, the game uses Unreal Engine, so PC code being in there doesn’t necessarily mean anything, even though my bet is on the game coming to PC.

    1. Not necessarily as this mentions higher resolutions, AMD, and NVIDIA stuff even if this game is UE4 it’s not entirely likely those things would be mentioned there.

The higher res, AMD, and NVIDIA stuff is probably PC related maybe developing the PC port now for release March 2021 or something

There are also other things apart from that hinting at a proper PC Port.
It’s also seems to be possible that a 60FPS mod is possible meaning the frame rate can be unlocked which is mainly stuff for PC platforms.

      1. You’re seemingly reading stuff that I haven’t written. I haven’t said it’s impossible that the PC code is there because a PC version is in the works – I wrote that it doesn’t necessarily mean that because some are apparently regarding this is a confirmation.

Neither have I said there are no signs of a PC version; I wrote the exact opposite, actually. The FPS being unlockable means absolutely nothing, since, again, it’s Unreal Engine.

        1. The unlockable FPS is mentioned along with the NVIDIA and AMD stuff these things would be relevant to a PC Version of said game not just a result of it being UE4 being used.

These aren’t the only hints either there are more of them enough to point to a PC Version of VIIR being worked or.

  3. We know this since just about every Square Enix comes to PC, even eventually.

It’s Xbox that it’s very unlikely to come to like with Dragon Quest XI and many more games where Xbox is just left out altogether.

      1. Yeah but Kingdom Hearts blows, the only thing KH had going for it was the FF characters in it, but the latest KH doesn’t even have that. haha, keep that crappy series out of PCs. Besides, with emulators you can play almost all the Kingdom Hearts games on PCs, not that any real gamer wants to…

        1. That may be your opinion but other people like that game series. If people just wanted to play with FF characters, why not play FF games directly? Or play World of FF?

      2. That is true and I can understand why it didn’t. Disney just were not comfortable with handing over all those incredible Unreal Engine 4 character models, of some of their biggest properties like Frozen, to modders. IMAGINE the stuff they would do with them lol.

        1. Disney has games on PC, Nomura already said that any other platforms in regards to KH content happens after Kh3 is released.

          1. What other games have Disney on PC that runs on a fairly friendly game engine to users/modders like Unreal Engine 4 and has insanely CG like character models of some of their biggest IP? Exactly.

          2. Well lets see since Disney owns both Marvel and Star Wars
MvCI, and Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order

Also what your asking for is very specific like specific to KH3 since no other Disney game is like it.
However mind you this isn’t evidence that KH3 won’t be on PC as Nomura has said in 2013 and in 2018 it’s under consideration after the game has been made on consoles.
I mean Disney Infinity is on PC which does have mods
Also Disney doesn’t care about modders in fact there is no evidence to it so that doesn’t bar KH3 from coming to PC.

  4. Well,SE loves money. Why limiting their income when bigger market is a available out there…

  5. screw this game. honestly not impressed this is a full priced game and it isn’t even the full game. The marketing of this game should say right on the cover part 1 or something. So many people will probably buy the game thinking it’s the full thing

  6. Played through the demo, which is essentially the equivalent of the very opening animation of FF VII, up to the end of the mako reactor. It looks nice graphically, and it plays incredibly boring as I expected. They also brought back the f**king STAGGER garbage from XIII. My god.

The fact this thing is going to be broken in to episodes, is just hilariously stupid. Especially given how long this disaster in motion has been in development already.

I’m sure nostalgia goggles will push many sales of this thing, but aside from pretty graphics, this thing is a turd, like practically anything else internally developed at SquareEnix.

Oh, and way to butcher the crap out of the soundtrack too, SE. Uematsu would be floored by the level of fail you’ve achieved.

      1. Indeed he did. How are people as stupid as you even still around in this day and age? Maybe……. try taking your head out of your a*s, and figure out reality from your daydreams.

    1. Played it also. This game is gutter trash. The stagger system too. The absolute worst thing introduced in XIII, and some genius at SE thinks this game needs it too. Then you have control-ripping cutscenes every 30 seconds to boot.

Pretty graphics is all it takes to encapsulate the thick headed these days. Unfortunately, the thick headed is what makes up the bulk of the “gaming” audience these days.

  7. “A demo for Resident Evil 7 Remake has been leaked on PSN and according to some dataminers, its code further hints towards a PC release.”

The author didn’t bothered to proof read the first line in the paragraph…

  8. Hey !

Final Fantasy VII Remake’s PlayStation 4 Timed Exclusivity has been delayed until April 2021……

    https://twinfinite.net/2020/02/final-fantasy-vii-ps4-exclusive-2021/

Square Enix has confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Remake has been delayed on all platforms, not just Sony’s PlayStation 4. Updated cover art for the game has revealed that the game’s PlayStation exclusivity will end on April 10th 2021, and not on March 3rd 2021 as initially planned.

This change lines up perfectly with Final Fantasy VII Remake’s PlayStation 4 delay, and further cements the fact that the game will release on non-Sony gaming platforms in 2021. The game is expected to release on PC, Xbox One and next-generation hardware platforms on this date, though it is likely that the game will receive a PlayStation 5 update when Sony launches its next-generation console.

This makes Final Fantasy VII’s Remake one of many new PlayStation Timed Exclusives, with Death Stranding, Detroit: Become Human and the Yakuza series being other recent examples. Sony can no longer keep 3rd party developers tied to its PlayStation hardware, which is great news for PC gamers and users of other console platforms.
