A couple of weeks ago, we shared the official PC system requirements for Star Wars Squadrons. However, it appears that Electronic Arts has made some changes to the CPU requirements for both Intel and AMD platforms.
According to the previous requirements, the game needed at least an Intel i5-7600. However, EA has now listed the Intel i5 6600k as the minimum required CPU. On the other hand, the publisher now recommends an AMD Ryzen 7 2700X. Previously, EA recommended an AMD Ryzen 3 3200G. Furthermore, the game will now require 40GB of free hard-disk space (instead of 30GB).
Thankfully, there aren’t any changes to the RAM or the GPU requirements. Thus, EA still recommends using an AMD Radeon RX 480 or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 for non-VR. For VR gaming, the publisher recommends using an AMD Radeon RX 570 or an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070.
You can find below the revised PC system requirements for Star Wars Squadrons.

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. Game that runs on an Xbox one:
Minimum i5 6600k
double the cores 60% slower
yeah…the cpus suck ballz…but its amazing what optimization can do…. those systems while weaker, can do some crazy sh*t
yea display fake 4k while internally resolution is runing under 720 p , freaking great!!
Only 7 are available for games. 1 is locked for the OS.
And it’s still much faster. A flexible task-job system will adapt to 4 or 8 threads for example. The 6600K accounting for its clock provideds more CPU cycles than 7 lower clocked (with low IPC as well) Jaguar cores.
No need to panic anyway since the game will not require such CPU for console settings.
