Dragon’s Dogma 2 will support Ray Tracing, PC requirements revealed

Capcom just dropped the PC system requirements for Dragon’s Dogma 2 on its Steam store page. Also, the team revealed that the game will support Ray Tracing effects. However, Capcom hasn’t spilled the beans on what exactly these Ray Tracing effects are.

For gaming at 1080p/30fps, PC gamers will need an Intel Core i5 10600 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with 16GB of RAM. Capcom has listed the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and the AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT as the minimum required GPUs. However, in order to enable its Ray Tracing effects, you’ll at least need an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 6800.

For gaming at 2160/30fps, Capcom recommends an Intel Core i7-10700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or AMD Radeon RX 6700. These requirements are for the non-RT version of the game.

The Steam store page has also leaked the game’s release date. Remember that ESRB rating? Apparently, it featured the correct release date. So, Dragon’s Dogma 2 will release on March 22nd, 2024.

Capcom plans to release a new gameplay trailer/shocase video in a few hours. So, we’ll either update this story with it or dedicate another separate article to it.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Denuvo and microtransactions in a $60 game. Typical Capcom.

Maybe this game will be worth buying when it releases for $10 on GoG a year from now without DRM and Microtransactions.

Steam is a cesspool and ripoff.

    1. Even though there is no such thing as 2160i. 4k content is always progressive, so it’s probably 2160p, or 4K as it’s mostly called.

      1. there is “2160i”, it means set resolution to 4k and enable interlacing. At least this is how in worked on the RE remakes. It works like the poor man’s upscaller

  2. I never seen a company this shameless to STILL re-use assets from a game that released 11 years ago , add visual upgrade and call it a sequel and the simps will eat it up like its nothing , i swear to god the simps have turned this company into a greedy money hungry machine the doesn’t give two craps about their fandom .. a bunch of bandwagoners hyping this crap up

    1. Double Denuvo or even tripple, because Denuvo DRM + Denuvo DLC DRM, and they could use new Denuvo baby, Denuvo MP DRM 😉
I bet the .exe will ~600-700MB

They will not be release this game on GOG.
Just like they didn’t released on GOG RE7, RE8, RE4R, Monster Hunter games, DMC5.

          1. These snowflakes all have hair triggers ……

They think they are being edgy but in reality they are just juvenile …..

        1. Wait a second…
          Pawns are basically slaves.
          You can make black pawns.
This game is gonna trigger soy journos something fierce.

    1. Yeah what’s up with that! There were only white people and cat people running around as warriors in the Middle Ages 😉

    2. The first Dragon’s Dogma had negroes too.

Japanese developers associate negroes with western culture so they put them in things tat are western themed.

      1. Yeah but their perverted version of Woke didn’t exist yet back then so it doesn’t count …..

Complaining about Corporate Greed = Woke by it’s true definition

Complaining about a political system that is rigged against them = Woke by it’s true definition

However their perverted definition of Woke = Anything and everything I don’t like

        1. I’m not saying I like it, I think it looks as well as any other race wearing Zulu attire.
          It’s just not surprising.

    3. Yep. Never mind the weird anthropomorphic cat people, elves or heart-eating dragons which totally existed back then. Seems like you all got your priorities in check.

    4. You do realize this is a fantasy world on a fantasy planet and there is nothing at all historical about it?

What next, complaining about people with green eyes because most people have brown or blue eyes?

    5. Breaking news: black people existed in the middle ages, but dragons did not. Dutch painter Hieronymus Bosch depicted black people in his incredible tryptich “the garden of earthly delights”, which he created between 1490 and 1510. White and black people stand side-by-side and can even be found kissing. Based on the evidence, we can say that your views and those of your upvoters are backwards compared to a European man who lived 500 years before the existence of the so-called “woke agenda”. I do wonder what country/planet some of you guys were “educated” in, though I do apologise if your ignorance originates from some sort of brain injury.

      1. They can’t hear you over their own backfire effect. You’ll never convince them over anything because their brains are wired to protect their own beliefs and they can’t be challenged.

  4. 322 release date lol, typical, you can bet 222, nov 11 1111, etc from CapCom, 33 there too. DD,44. 2-24-24, 4-24-24 lol DeNuvo ,of new, saves us from so much crap really, as does epic anything, even some people have no launchers of any kind and play most major games. I had an old version of FC Primal I just installed there’s fully offline play no launcher/login req either. Couldn’t get into it tho already gone. Maybe try blood dragon as I kinda skipped that back in the day.

  5. Shame, I expected them to show more vocations.
Fighting huge enemies like Talos looks like a ton of fun though.

      1. I think Capcom hits the right balance between visuals and required performance.

Just look at games like Aveum on consoles, then return to games from 10 years ago. UE5 games look really bad and totally not worth it from what they are demanding.

  6. there ! i have done it… i pre-ordered it ..the Deluxe version.
Now bring in the hate and the downvotes.
    ” NeVuuhrrr pRe-OrDuUuhrr hur hur thAtS BaD m’kay ?! ”

no its not. Im a huge LOTResque Medieval High Fantasy nerrrd with worlds full with Elves, Dwarves, Orcs, Evil Armies and Human heroes set in classical landscapes full with forrests, mountains, big valley’s and ancient ruins with villages, castles and dragons.
So when a game comes close to that i buy.

    1. But have you played every LOTResque Medieval High Fantasy game that are currently available now or is this a post hoc for you falling for the hype? I’m guessing the later

      1. From Final Fantasy 9 up to Baldurs Gate 3 and almost every LOTResque RPG in between ..yes. Sometimes i even got some games i never played far just because i wanted to ecperience that High Fantasy vibe even though it didnt get close ( Operencia for example. ) Or Fable 1-3.. But yes you are right its the hype that gets me.
