Dragon Age The Veilguard new feature

Dragon Age: Veilguard’s release date has been leaked

EA will officially reveal the release date of Dragon Age: Veilguard today. However, it appears that an ad may have spoiled the beans as it leaked the release date for this upcoming action RPG.

According to the ad, Dragon Age: Veilguard will be released on October 31st. Moreover, pre-orders will be available later today. We should also expect to get a new trailer.

In this new Dragon Age game, players will enter the world of Thedas, a vibrant land of rugged wilderness, treacherous labyrinths, and glittering cities steeped in savage combat and secret magics. Now, the fate of this world teeters on a knife’s edge.

Players will forge a courageous fellowship to challenge the gathering storm. Friendship, drama, and romance will abound as you bring striking individuals together into an extraordinary team. Become the leader and light the beacon of hope in their darkest moments.

In June 2024, EA and Bioware shared a 20-minute gameplay video. So, be sure to check it out if you haven’t already.

I’ll be sure to update the story once EA officially reveals the game’s release date. Until then, take a look at the leaked ad.

Stay tuned for more!

UPDATE:

EA and Bioware have released the official release date trailer for the game, confirming the leaked release date. Dragon Age: Veilguard will come out on October 31st.

    1. How Bioware is still in business after back to back flops is still mystery to me , especially under EA !!

      1. because the Dragon Age and Mass Effect are still massive IP and EA makes enough from Apex, FC and Madden to subsidize everything else they attempt

        1. Yep it's all about subsidy. Just like Epic Games. If it wasn't for fortnite they'd be under a hole somewhere complaining about "unfair competition".

          1. its crazy to think that fortnite is able to move that much money for them to do all the giveaways and exclusivity deals they do

          2. Over a billion dollars revenue from MTs year after year. The kids just never get enough of it seems.

          3. They really dont credit where its due though, it is pretty fun and its like the only shooter I can get my own kids to play with me.

          1. that and all the live services that came out YEARS ago. Dont have to spend a ton on R&D when rainbow six siege is turning 10 on an aging assassins creed engine then you have for honor and division still keeping player bases somehow.

        1. Okay I’ll make an exception for the next FromSoft title if one of the key sites like GMG or Fanatical have a worthwhile deal. Fanatical had 12% off Shadow of the Erdtree and they sent me a coupon for an additional 5% off so I made the key purchase 2 days before it came out so I could pre load it. Does that still count as pre-ordering the same sense? Other than that I don’t think I’ve pre ordered a game since Elden Ring came out. Does paying for early access count against that since you can play the game within the period of the actual purchase?

          1. Depending on the length of the early access period I agree with you. Games with extended EA periods like Baldur's Gate 3 were definitely pre-orders but what about these new early access AAA titles that give you up to 3 days early access like COD, Starfield or NBA 2K that are essentially finished games with everything live ?

          2. Do they pay more for having the game earlier? Seems like just another monetization tatics to extract money from the goyim.

          3. depends on the game. For example, I know NBA 2k early access used to always be locked behind a higher tier purchase that also came with additional content/trinkets but this year if you pre order any version you get the 3 days early so you could essentially just buy the game the 3 days ahead of the official release date and play it “early.” I think in the latter case its not as hard of a pre-order as paying full price for a game that comes out in 6 months type beat.

          4. I’m surprised you know all this stuff, i nominate you DSOG normie correspondent! Goes to show how out of the loop i am in regards to this stuff. There is so much you can play with just the entry money to buy hardware, but to each their own i guess.

          5. I used to be really into 2k when I was younger before the MTX demons took hold of it when you could have a decent character and team for online play after a month or two of smart play. So I still have friends who play and follow it as well get ads occasionally about it. Yeah the landscape for gaming is so wide now its great more people have access to it imo because there’s always something else to check out like a real library.

  1. I'm not going to comment my thoughts on the politics behind this game, however the Frostbite engine its running on is still an impressive piece of tech (not trash), which exceeded my performance expectations on the Steam Deck, at least for the 15 minutes I tried it out.

Another game I recently gave a go on a development branch of SteamOS 3.7 was Vladik Brutal, which truly is Russian Half-Life with Anti-Putin vibes.

That, too, surprised me with its performance on the Steam Deck, and apparently its running on a custom UE4 engine, so kudos to the developer for being able to pull that off.

    1. yeah some of these propietary engines have really taken off. Its still crazy to me that rainbow six siege is running on an engine originally developed for assassin's creed even when it shows its cracks.

    2. I've always hated the Frostbite engine. I find it incredibly annoying, and prefer almost any other engine over Frostbite.

I recently purchased Dragon Age Inquisition on Steam, and it's a Frostbite game. The stupid thing ignores the resolution when in windowed mode, and always displays at 1280×720. To get the window bigger, I have to drag it with the mouse (although I am surprised that the game changes its render resolution to match the window size when you do that, as I wouldn't expect Frostbite to be that intelligent).

Another Frostbite game, Mass Effect Andromeda, also had tons of issues. A lot of people blamed those issues on the engine not having features for RPG games built-in like other game engines do, which forced the developers to have to code those features themselves, and of course EA didn't give them enough time to finish everything properly.

About the only thing Frostbite seems to do well is Battlefield, and that's probably because that's what Dice designed it for, but even in those games Frostbite doesn't seem to support mouse polling rates above 500 Hz. Seriously Dice, this is 2024, fix your broken POS game engine…

  2. Trailer looked better than the last. Its still a wait and see. Maybe its the fan of the series in me but im gonna be optimistic.

  3. Still gonna be hopeful for this. While it does look different so did 2 and inquisition and I havent been totally let down by a bioware game that i've actually played just yet since i skipped anthem. Just gonna be hopeful lol.

  4. Dragon age died with the first game. The n*gger protagonist looks so ugly and disgusting, it makes gag everytime I look at it.

    1. Yep definitely passing on this POS "game" full of self-insert characters. And from the gameplay I've seen, it plays A LOT different than the other Dragon Age games. Looks crap.

I'm also one of those people who prefers to play games without vomiting constantly.

    2. Cool to see racism here, nice job agreeing with it guys. Forgot such hateful people still exist, lol. 3 upvotes too. Pathetic. Get reported.

Also the first game is amazing and beloved. Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean it "died" lol. There's some people who even liked the second game. It was a different time, a different Bioware. Who knows if this new game will carry that same love and charm and good storytelling.

      1. “Who knows if this new game will carry that same love and charm and good storytelling.”
lmao, can’t tell if you live under a rock or you’re actually a dense f4ggot.

  5. This nightmare of mental illness posing as a gayme; made by queerdos for queerdos seems fitting to launch on Halloween. Halloween does bring forth the freaks and satanists like groomer month does.

  6. A bit off-topic, but I have to say that I'm so glad that gaming turned woke.
Because now, I finally completely stopped playing new games and I can finally focus on my gigantic backlog.
Thanks, woke freaks! You made me go back to good old games!😃👍

It feels a bit strange to be done with modern games after 35 years of gaming, but man, it sure feels liberating!😊

    1. Been gaming for almost 44 years and the same thing happened to me almost 3 years ago. I just gave up on modern games and only played games from the early 1990s through mid 2000s with the exception of Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes. The modern games were just too stuffed with politically correct BS, mostly boring and uninspired and just not a lot of fun.

I'm ready to give some modern games a try but being very selective and they are all between 2015 and 2020 that I picked up on a really good Steam sale.

      1. Good for you grandpas.

Now GTFO of videogame forums as well and leave us, the cool kids, to enjoy this new amazing wokeness that will keep selling millions!

      2. Yeah, same…

Well, I might give a try to Streets of Rogue 2 when it comes out, but that's the exception to the rule, I guess.

Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes are quite good, I admit, and well, they're Japanese games, so they don't have any of that woke BS.

But besides that, it's really enjoyable to finally focus on what we truly like, instead of wasting our time with new games which always disappoint us.

I think that picture below represents well the games I play.
        So, I'm like you, I focus a lot on 90s-mid 2000s.
And that's PC only, but I also now finally went back to console emulation as well, and man it's great. It has improved so much in the past few years.
