Dragon Age The Veilguard feature-2

Dragon Age: The Veilguard Official PC Requirements

Electronic Arts and BioWare have revealed the official PC system requirements for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This new Dragon Age game will be powered by the Frostbite Engine. So, let’s see what PC system you’ll need to run it.

According to the PC specs, PC gamers will at least need an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 3 3300X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA GTX 970/1650 or an AMD Radeon R9 290X. The game will also require 100GB of free disk space. Also note that AMD CPUs on Windows 11 will require the AGESA V2 1.2.0.7. And while HDDs will be supported, BioWare suggests using an SSD.

The devs recommend using an Intel Core i5-8400 AMD Ryzen 3 3300X with 16GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 2070 or AMD Radeon RX 5700XT. Yes, apparently the CPU requirements are exactly the same. So, this may be a mistake or something.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be using the DX12 API. However, BioWare has not revealed whether the game will take advantage of Ray Tracing. We also don’t know whether there will be support for NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR or Intel XeSS.

EA will release this new Dragon Age game on October 31st. In June 2024, EA and Bioware shared a 20-minute gameplay video. So, be sure to check it out if you haven’t already. Moreover, the game will not require the EA App on Steam. I also don’t see Denuvo on the Steam store page. So, perhaps EA won’t use it in this upcoming triple-A game? Now that would be something.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more.

  1. I thought I'd be able to hold out but the nostalgia in me getting me a lil excited now. really hope this turns out to be something cool at the very least despite being so different.

      1. Inquisition was indeed one of the earliest for this trend of games "how are ya fellow gamers" written by millennials after a decade of consuming Marvel movies.

        1. So true.
Failed wannabe millennial writers with smooth brain and sh*tty sense of humor.
They'd be writing script for CW shows if they could.

          1. its an old saying did you just learn about this? There is even a game called incision and the dev is called "smoothbraindev" because calling people smooth breain was popular about 5-7 years ago.

  2. I would be surprised if the game had ray tracing considering the system requirements. Looks like it will run on a potato.

    1. You're close….. the characters' looks are each based on a potato. It's of course so they don't offend any tr*nny fu*ckers who want us all to play make believe.

  3. Bioware was already pozzed back in the early 2010s and they've only gotten worse since then, so a new DA game in this day and age is going to be far more insufferable than anything we've seen before. This is going to be the most turbopozzed game ever made.

    1. to be fair with you i also played baldurs gate 1 and thought it was meh, i have to conclude kotor 1, jade empire and mass effect 2 are the only good games they made.

      1. I tried BG1 years ago and couldn't get past the real time with pause combat, particularly when a party member is perma killed in 1 or 2 hits. But I get that it did a lot of groundbreaking things as a cRPG, so I understand why so many hold it in high regard.

Most Bioware games from BG1 to ME2 were praised by critics, loved by fans, and sold well, even if they weren't my cup of tea. From ME3 onward their games were either disliked by fans, sold like sh!t, or both.

        1. same the combat felt like a coin toss if you hit and kill a ogre or miss and die and also you move so slow in the maps which is bad because depending which exit you take you find new areas. The story is boring and the combat is trash.

Diablo ruined rpgs same way dark souls ruined action rpgs, because of diablo every rpg had to be real time even though baldurs gate 3 and larian started from real time and switched to turn based. Also this applies to graphics early 2000s 3d graphics were god awful, every rpg that was 3d like never winter nights and dungeons siege had you fighting the camera. Fallout tactics real time combat sucked you had to manage too many characters and i am glad van buren never came out fallout 3 in 3d with real time combat wouhd have been awful.

  4. specs don't look crazy. still gonna wait for more previews and reviews before this comes out because stalker and shadows are right behind it.

  5. Totally forgot about this appendix of a game. EA killed off BioWare starting with Anthem, now they made this trash, this game will fail and BioWare will close its studios. Also veilguard looks legit off with its graphics, it has this sort-of cartoony shade, makes it more like a mobile game than a game from a 'Triple A' company.
Also what REALLY stands is the 'diverse' cast, hitting them woke points is the most crucial part of development, especially under the reign of EA, the rest becomes the byproduct.

    prediction: it'll tank hard.

    Bioware failing track record:
    Anthem = Trash
    Mass Effect Andromeda = Trash
    Dragon Age Inquisition = Trash

    Upcoming trash:
Dragon Age: The Veilguard = Gonna be the worst trash they've ever made.

  6. Due to this art style, which resembles as if everything was made from playdough, the game looks quite poor visually.
Also Epic Store screams this message: The product is currently unavailable on your platform or in your region.
    What a joke.

    1. Unfortunately that can't happen. The 2 Bioware co-founders and the real talent left over a decade ago. What's left is a pitiful shell of what was once a great developer. The odds of EA ever allowing any of their studios to put together a talented experienced team are zero. All they are interested in is milking the name until there's nothing left of their reputation and then shutting them down.

  7. this game is so gay that it doesn't need you to meet requirement, you need to have no standard to enjoy this one.

    1. i miss referring to lame stuff as gay than referring to lame gay stuff is gay, i guess its true the industry now is lame and gay.
