Dragon Age: Inquisition – Multiplayer Details Revealed

Bioware has released a FAQ for the Multiplayer mode for its upcoming strategy game, Dragon Age: Inquisition. According to the team, this new Dragon Age will feature action-packed, four-player cooperative quests for its MP mode that will be separate from the single-player open-world story.

Dragon Age: Inquisition’s MP mode is inspired by the one featured in Mass Effect 3. This basically means that all matches will be fast-paced, will require strategic team gameplay, and will add Inquisition’s tactical class combat and extensive loot and crafting systems.

In case you’re wondering then no; MP will not be required to get the full-game experience.

“The SP campaign is separate from MP. In SP, you have the support of three specialists who can send agents to missions. MP characters are agents. At the start of a MP mission, you will hear one of the specialists explaining the goal of your mission.”

And as you may have guessed, Dragon Age: Inquisition’s MP mode will feature microtransactions. Still, the team noted that there will be no pay walls.

Last but not least, the level cap for the game’s multiplayer mode will be 20. Once players hit that level, they will be able to promote their character, which will give them an extra attribute point for your MP characters.

  1. I will keep my eyes and ears open for info on the DA:I MP. ME3 MP was surprisingly very fun and addictive so I won’t be underestimating BioWare this time.

  2. Separate? Awesome, I can totally ignore it.

Wait did I just read “microtransations”? In a $60 game? Even if I’m not going to play multiplayer, I might still have to wait and get this on sale for $10 because f*ck these clowns.

    1. It is only on origin, so odds are you will never see a $10 sale until like 3 years after it is out. Another downside to games not being on the steam store…

  3. why ? why DA needs multiplayer ? focus on a god damn single player campaign for your story driven RPG, focus on a world you have which is empty as hell, instead of multiplayer

  4. Excited. Loooking forward to this! I think i was one of the few who enjoyed the ME3 MP. And being able to play with my cousin will be fun in DA:I
