Dragon Age Inquisition Intuitive Controls mod overhauls the game’s controls and camera

Modder ‘n1ftucal’ has released a new version of his Intuitive Controls mod for Dragon Age Inquisition. As its title suggests, this mod overhauls the game’s controls and camera, allowing more fluid and intuitive gameplay. As such, it is now feasible to play without frequent pauses or cumbersome camera adjustments.

As the modder noted, the mod changes the camera so it now works as expected from common FPS/RPG games and adds convenience/efficiency features, including the attack behavior of previous Dragon Age games. However, do note that there might be some compatibility issues with Reshade when using the default shortcuts.

The latest version of the Intuitive Controls mod and improves graphics card compatibility and overlay compatibility. In other words, this mod is almost complete and we strongly suggest giving it a go as it may dramatically improve your overall keyboard+mouse experience.

Those interested can download the mod from here.

Have fun!

  1. Haha damn… and I am 40h in with a controller. Ditched the mouse and keyboard when I started about 2 months ago. Maybe I will go back now.

  2. I stopped playing the game 2 hours in because of the awful controls with both M/K and gamepad. I might give DA:I another chance now.

  3. The mod’s author has commented that there “seems many Nvidia users have problems getting it to work” but that a fix/update is hopefully soon appearing.

    1. I remember playing this game and not knowing what SJWs were. What a time to be alive.

The only thing I thought was odd was that the elf chick had an ugly nose but I don’t know what the SJW aspects were.

      1. I had a lot of fun with it. The combat was great and the story was fantastic. I romanced the female diplomat. I’m not a DA fan, per se, so I know next to nothing about the lore.

        1. I don’t quite remember that one. Maybe I didn’t play it, but this was years ago. I just remember the combat being really fun and the world being interesting.

I badly want that desert environment as a VR experience.

  4. I don’t play retro games. This game is ancient. It could draw Social Security if it wanted. It has a higher risk of suffering from osteoporosis and requires a LifeAlert lest it falls down and can’t get up.

    1. good for you cuck-boy! I’m so happy for you man! Now go grab a rope and hang yourself – make the world a better place!!

      1. You need to find some happiness in your life. You’re clearly unfulfilled. Happy, accomplished people don’t respond to people on the Internet like this. Find some happiness and sort your life out.

  5. The controls and tactical camera – especially for PC – were f*cking awful. I hope this fixes it because I’d love to see what the game is about.
