Bethesda and id Software have revealed that the Doom Eternal Update 2 will release later this week. Furthermore, the teams have unveiled its key features, and promised to reveal its full patch notes prior to the release of the update.
Going into more details, Doom Eternal Update 2 will bring a new Battlemode map. Additionally, this new patch will bring enhancements to the multiplayer mode. Update 2 will feature standard bug fixes and optimizations, as well as latency improvements and the ability to tailor separate, custom keybinds to each demon.
Moreover, this new patch will have quality-of-life improvements for colorblind players and an improved UX for Boosters. It will also pack an increased number of Empowered Demons per map and a host of bug fixes.
Unfortunately, Bethesda did not reveal the exact release date for this upcoming patch. Naturally, we’ll be sure to keep you posted so stay tuned for more!

Waiting for id Software’s next game.
Honestly after Eternal I’m not really anxious what they come up with next. Doesn’t seem like they can come up with anything worthwhile that would stay with you after 5 hours.
Any news about RTX support? One year ago they said that streaming on Stadia was more important for them than RTX. But as we know Stadia wasn’t very successful so maybe they will come back to RTX?
“Ray tracing is just a matter of priority for us. Any time we take a technical step we’re looking at how we can lead in that area. With Vulkan, VR and streaming we were leaders and ray tracing will be no different. The team has been spending a lot of time looking at that, we just haven’t gone fully down that road yet because we’re just so focussed on Doom Eternal and getting that out. Ray tracing is about better visuals but not necessarily more users, so that’s where we look at something like streaming and make it a priority overall for us, because it means more people can play games. Ray tracing is about playing games with a greater visual fidelity, which is awesome and we will lead when it comes to that for sure, but that’s how it gets stacked internally for our team. We really want to get the game out and that’s what everyone is focussed on”
No RTX news as of yet
Yes I’m waiting too, but based on how long it took them to do it with Youngblood, I’d say before end of this year
This game is not for multiplayer ! Multi in this is sh** worse than Doom 2016.
this game is now gets boring quickly
If it’s not news about an arcade mode or the single player DLC, I don’t really care.
