Bethesda has just announced that it will be releasing a free trial for Dishonored 2 on April 6th. According to the publisher, this free trial will allow players to dive into the first three missions of the campaign as either Empress Emily Kaldwin or the royal protector, Corvo Attano.
The free trial can be downloaded from Dishonored 2’s store page on Steam and players that decide to upgrade to the full game during or after the free trial will be able to keep all of the saves made during the trial, and can continue enjoying Dishonored 2’s campaign from where they left off.
Dishonored 2 is set 15 years after the Lord Regent has been vanquished and the dreaded Rat Plague has passed into history. As Emily or Corvo, players will travel beyond the legendary streets of Dunwall to Karnaca, the once-dazzling coastal city that holds the keys to restoring Emily to power.
For what it’s worth, the game still suffers from performance issues. Arkane Studios has released, so far, three game updates. And to be honest, especially since PREY is just around the corner, we don’t expect these performance issues to be ever fixed.
But hey, at least now you will be able to play and test the game before getting it!

Dishonored 2 will get “free post launch beta test”. Bethesda srsly ?
To hopefully boost sales
2dark, you know that indie game using denuvo stands at 2000 copies on steam and adr1ft, has not been cracked, the studio closed down and the game is now selling because it is dirtcheap…PFFT ahahahahah.
Ill say it again make good pc versions and optimize them.
This wont boost sales, people will curse the very moment they decided to download the dishonored 2 trial, the game is an unoptimized mess.
Its probebly gonna be like Watchdogs2 when it got cracked the same day ubisoft released a “free” Demo
free demo was not for PC
B…bu…but in October 2015 Ubisoft proclaimed,
“PC gamers are important to Ubisoft, and we’re committed to better understanding and addressing their needs and to continually improving our relationship with them”
lol yeah you’re right they even delayed the PC demo like the game itself
That will be funny but i doubt anyone will want to pirate this at this state.
Wow, I heard sales were a lot worse than the first game, but they must have been pretty f*cking awful if they’re doing this. Glad I haven’t bought it yet at least.
So much for denuvo protecting the game from filthy pirates.
lol ME:A just got cracked.
Lel you’re not trolling. Cool stuff.
By cpy, wtf is wrong with that guy? i mean why pick the worst game to crack? Might as well kick that dead horse ea while its down.
Yup, s**ty game but still i’m going to dl it, they stole 33 of my games, Revenge is a B**ch.
“this free trial will allow players to…”
…determine if the game’s ongoing patches and optimisations following its shambolic state upon release let it run properly on our PCs!
Exactly
even if you end up liking it be aware that performance problems lay withing the open world areas of the game and you’ll be just fine during first hour of your walkthrough, a cheeky move by bethesda and arkane
Good i will try it and according how well my pc will run it i’ll buy it or not
most erratic behavior level will not be in the demo, so basically it’s a trap
a little late for that…
