During its latest quarterly earnings conference call, Activision revealed that both Diablo 4 and Overwatch 2 will not come out in 2021. And while there won’t be a new Diablo or Overwatch game in 2021, the publisher confirmed that there will be a new Call of Duty game in Holiday 2021.
There is really nothing more to add at this point, and we know that this news will disappoint a lot of Diablo fans. From what we know so far, Diablo IV will be an always-online game, and will not offer an offline mode. The game will also have cosmetic micro-transactions, and there is no word on whether it will support mods. Additionally, Blizzard is looking into enabling cross-play support between all platforms. Diablo 4 will be using a new engine, will allow the camera to zoom out, and will have better animations.
On the other hand, Overwatch 2 will introduce significant engine upgrades that support larger maps for co-op (PvE) play. Furthermore, it will add a wide variety of new enemies and factions that players will encounter on their missions. The game will also introduce visual enhancements to most favorite heroes.

This just goes to show that it’s Acti calling the shots, that it’s their games first, whatever the hell Blizz can toss out later.
D4’s been in the works for years, so it sure as hell better be a knock out of the park, or Blizz will flounder all the more. They don’t have Starcraft to fall back on, Hearthstone’s nowhere, Overwatch league is in tatters, and WoW is doing semi alright.
Blizzard are dead, its a$$division’s corruption all over it – If a project only earns a heap of money it’s useless to them.

Instead of playing the same f*king IP’s you could just play indie games like Torchlight2, that game was much better than Diablo3 but somehow you keep crying at big companies and asking people to play 90s games that we already played for thousands of hours as kids.
There are thousands of new games every year, a lot of them are true gems but you keep crying like babies because some games go full casual. Stop acting as you’re the “real gamers” here, you are just f*king old and should left the gaming community for your own good.
