The team behind the GMDX (Give Me Deus Ex) mod for Deus Ex has released its brand new 9.0 version. GMDX brings an enhanced artistic direction, as well as advanced Artificial Intelligence, fulfilling Augmentations, new Effects, Animations and Graphics and an updated User Interface.
The team has also improved the game’s levels, polished some weapons, enhanced and refined the game’s RPG systems, updated its physics engine, fixed numerous bugs, fine-tuned balancing and introduced variable difficulty Settings, as well as new and improved Simulated Systems.
As the team claimed, GMDX is executed with the strict parameter of staying true to the original design principles that define Deus Ex, and seeks to improve all aspects of design excluding the plot and soundtrack.

Have fun!

godamn it, time to replay deus ex.
Played a good chunk of V8.0 and had a blast with it. I’ll definitely update and start anew at some point.
V9 is much more fleshed out.
OK…guess what?!
Time for a playthrough!!!
DX soundtracks…truly timeless epic masterpiece!
GMDX vastly improves the original game in ways Revision doesn’t even come close.
This looks phenomenal!
Thanks!
This is stunning!
cheers!
Another excuse to bust out that GOG copy for another go most definitely.
Thanks for the write-up guys!
Think you’ve completely misunderstood what GMDX is. If you’re a fan of Deus Ex, you should at least give it a go before making your mind up.
The higher world textures are thanks to a mod called New Vision and the higher texture models and objects are thanks to HDTP. A modder called Kentie is also responsible for the DirectX10 renderer. All of these mods are baked-in to GMDX and make Deus Ex look fantastic for a game of it’s age. You should give it a go to see what the original was like without the level-design changes of Revision.
