Activision has released a new trailer for Destiny 2, dedicated to its upcoming open beta phase. Unfortunately, though, this open beta phase has been delayed for the PC. According to the publisher, Destiny 2’s PC open beta phase will begin this August, a month later after its console open beta phase.
In this open beta phase, you will play the opening of Destiny 2’s new, cinematic story campaign, take on the three-player cooperative Inverted Spire Strike and battle in two competitive multiplayer modes.
Destiny 2 will be available on the PC on October 24th!

Don’t care about the game, but may check out the beta if it doesn’t require a pre-order or anything like that.
This is when the beta will be data mined and we’ll find out that everything during the beta phase was actually the entire game and it’s plot.
I want to play and get excited for this game, but it being published by Activision makes me so nervous that i am actually going to avoid it completely for a while.
If Activision does with this what they did with Destiny 1 and the latest CoD games, it would be in everyone’s best interest NOT buying the game near launch. People who bought Destiny 1 around launch got screwed in the long run, and Activision doesn’t learn from mistakes. I can’t imagine it will go any better this time.
They aren’t really mistakes from Activision’s standpoint. Anti consumer as all hell, but they also make them a helluva lotta money.
I understand where you’re coming from but the thing about Destiny is that it’s not like other games. If you’re not playing the content when it’s new, you are definitely missing out. For example you will probably be missing out on the first raid if you only get the game after the second raid comes out, because nobody will play the first one anymore, since the loot will be lower level. The content is still there for you to play, but you won’t find any people top play it with. Just don’t buy the game at all if you don’t like it but waiting to buy it later is a terrible idea.
did you keep up with destiny 1 at all? rehashed content, delayed content for 1 year. my advice wait for a sale on it then get it.destiny 1.5 expansion is still destiny 1…lol
18th May, David Shaw of Bungie, speaking of the PC version:
“We have done a ton of work”
6th July: Publisher confirms delay of upcoming beta on PC while console versions remain on schedule.
We knew that it’s coming out later on PC since it was announced and we knew the beta was coming out in august since E3. They’ve been open about it since the beginning.
Is it just me, or do the graphics in this so-called “sequel” scream No Man’s Lie meets Overwatch?
I mean, wow, Bungie. Wow.
DOA on pc.pc gamers wont wait a year for content for this destiny 1.5 expansion…lmao.multiplayer games die fast on pc it will be dead with in 5 months as usual on pc for multiplayer games.
only esports and mmo’s have longevity on pc.
