Destiny 2 feature 2

Destiny 2 is available for free on the PC until November 18th, yours to keep forever

Now here is something really interesting. Activision and Bungie have announced that Destiny 2 is available to download for free on the PC until November 18th. However, this isn’t a free to play week or something like that. Instead, PC gamers can acquire a free copy of the game and they can keep it forever.

All you have to do is download the Blizzard app (in case you haven’t installed it), head over at Destiny 2 and get your free copy. Naturally, Activision is only offering the base game, meaning that you’ll have to buy the DLCs if you are interested in them.

It’s well known that Activision makes a lot of money from micro-transactions and Destiny 2 has lots of them. So in a sense it makes sense to give the base game for free so they can increase the playerbase which may potential spend more money on microtransactions.

New Battle.net accounts created after 19:00 CET on November 2, 2018, will need to enable Blizzard SMS Protect before claiming their free copy. Destiny 2 PC is redeemable from the Battle.net gift page.

But anyway, at least those that haven’t played the game yet can do so by acquiring their free copy. It’s definitely better than a free to play period or a demo, so go ahead and take a look!

    1. I’m half-tempted to check out how some of the big name gaming sites are spinning this news so to keep their industry contacts sweet at major league paying advertiser Activision Blizzard.

      1. I can’t necessarily blame them for calling this a positive, a free game is a free game after all. But they should at least be noting that the game is basically worthless without the DLC’s.

  1. We weren’t good enough for the first one so I never bought the second one. They are probably only giving it away for free to get more people buying micro-transactions or something.

    Ill pass.

  2. where is the game ,the base game doesn`t appear on the site its only the forsaken edition crap ,what do i do,maybe it is region locked or something ?

Welcome to the future you helped paved, if you are guilty of throwing even one red cent at any of these BS tactics.
