AMD has announced that the first that will support its new FidelityFX Super Resolution Tech, FSR 2.0, will be Deathloop. According to the red team, an update will come out on May 12th that will add support for FSR 2.0.
As AMD stated:
“The next-generation of the widely adopted AMD open-source, cross-platform upscaling technology, FSR 2.0 helps boost framerates in supported games by using previous frame data to provide similar or better than native image quality at all resolutions. It supports a wide range of graphics products and platforms, including AMD and select competitor solutions, without requiring dedicated machine learning hardware. The first game to add support for AMD FSR 2.0 is DEATHLOOP by Arkane Studios and Bethesda, which is expected to be available via an update on May 12.”
AMD also listed some future games that will support FSR 2.0. These games are:
- Asterigos
- Delysium
- EVE Online
- Farming Simulator 22
- Forspoken
- Grounded
- Microsoft Flight Simulator
- NiShuiHan
- Perfect World Remake
- Swordsman Remake
- Unknown 9: Awakening
Since FSR 2.0 supports a wide range of graphics cards, we may take a look at it and compare it to DLSS 2.0.
Stay tuned for more!

Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. They also announced a list of games which will get FSR 2.0. They list itself was underwhelming to say at least… Not even Valhalla which is AMD sponsored. Also, I highly doubt the performance gains/image quality will rival that of DLSS which not only uses machine learning but runs on dedicated hardware (tensor cores)
The game is pretty good but it constantly crashes.
I am very afraid that AMD’s FSR 2.0 will cause ghosting just like DLSS and TAA… I hope I’m wrong about that, because AMD FSR 1.0 was half-ways decent, but considering what has been said about it using “temporal” tech I feel that it probably will…
Hardware Unboxed did a video review of FSR 2.0, comparing it to FSR 1.0 and DLSS 2.0, and while they didn’t appear to specifically look for ghosting they did show a few scenes with a small amount of motion slowed down and in one in particular you can see DLSS 2.0 causing ghosting but not AMD FSR 2.0:

They didn’t do any testing with intense motion slowed down to check for ghosting, so I can’t know for certain how it will look until I can see it in action, but I’m more hopeful now that ghosting may not be a problem with FSR 2.0 and if AMD managed to design an upscaling technique that uses “temporal” technology but doesn’t introduce ghosting then that’s awesome. I’m still looking forward to Intel’s XeSS though.
Wow, what an amazing game! The gameplay is deep, hardcore and lots of fun, the graphics are mind blowingly good, it sure is revolutionary for its time…

… for a 2006 PS3 launch title!
Jokes aside, I’m not even kidding, this game looks EXACTLY like a PS3 launch title, just compare it to Resistance: Fall of Man, an actual PS3 launch title, but at least Resistance may have been slightly rushed to meet the PS3’s launch, Deathpoop on the other hand is TWO GENERATIONS behind techinically, it isn’t even a cross-gen title, it has no excuses whatsoever to look THIS BAD:

But all in all, that’s what happens when you hire people based on their appearance and biology instead of their skills and experience:

I think that’s the root cause of why we have so many games full of bugs. Some Developers have placed inclusiveness above everything else instead of true talent.
Why the spoiler filter, though?
Why put your whole post under spoilers?
So… Nvidia sponsored games (such as Deathloop) have the right to incorporate AMD FSR, whereas AMD sponsored games are contractually forbidden from incorporating Nvidia tech… Who’s anti-competitive now?
DLSS Quality is far from trash, FSR 1.0 is not so good but it will get better, same goes for DLSS.
These solutions are the way if we want heavy RT use.
Well he allways are full of BS so nothing new!
We and the rest of the world loves DLSS. It’s totaly amazing!
Easiest the worst game I’ve played since Duke Nukem Forever.
Stop smoking that sh*t your smoking buddy. You know you live in a different space vs the rest of us!
DLSS is the best thing happen ever!
