Dead or Alive 5: Last Round – Online Mode Delayed, No ETA At This Moment

When Dead or Alive 5: Last Round was released back in March, it lacked any online functionality. Tecmo KOEI and Team Ninja aimed to release a patch that would enable this mode in June, however after a beta phase, the development team decided to further delay it.

As Team Ninja noted:

“We are currently beta testing the update to add online functionality to DEAD OR ALIVE 5 Last Round on Steam. We originally announced that we would release the update by the end of June 2015. However, due to major issues found during the beta test, we will be postponing the release of the update.”

Currently there is no ETA for this patch that will enable online functionality to Dead or Alive 5: Last Round.

Team Ninja is still offering a beta version that features online functionality, and for which all owners of the game can opt in.

In the library, right click Dead or Alive 5 Last Round and select Properties. The, select the BETAS tab, and select the beta you would like to opt in. If you’re experiencing performance or stability issues, Team Ninja recommends opting out by selecting “NONE” in the BETAS tab.

  1. Tecmo KOEI needs to just stop making PC ports. I mean the least they could do is freaking make the game on par with the freaking CONSOLE VERSIONS! And don’t get me started on another game they just had come out on PC that is utter garbage on PC.

    1. DoA5 is only lacking the particle effects but other than that, it looks better than the console versions actually.

      1. even if that is true, it still lacks online features and they might as well just drop that part cause most people will lose interest by the time it comes out. doesn’t make other Tecmo ports any better also. i still want them to make PC ports though hoping they finally learn their lesson. if not at least having a hybrid PC version as long as it works is better than having nothing. (their latest ports seems to get worse though or so i heard. i only played Dynasty Warrior 8). of course i won’t pay full price for those and will wait for sales.

        1. They are selling $60 plus skimpy DLC outfits on steam. Yet they can’t fix the game or make a proper port. Missing stages are not really a big deal to me but they should of been in the game.

As for the PS3 graphics and some PS4 graphic aspects that’s just the most stupid thing I have ever heard of for a fighting game. I mean At least Street fighter IV on PC is greatly made on PC and looks better then the console versions for example. .

I would hate to see them make a Ninja Gaiden collection on PC.

      2. I own it on PC and I am not impressed. And Missing stages, “Soft-Engine”, Particle effects, should of been in the game from the start. It’s a Half PS3/PS4 version.

Performance wise my dedicated PhysX card 750 TI should run this game perfect at 1080p but it don’t. Games even drops FPS on my 970. And when you go from 60 to 52fps in a game like this it hurts….

      3. well, no Online, no Particles, no SoftEngine, two of the stages are missing, only one 16:10 resolution, on pc 3 years later than original version, forced controller vibration, no achievements

        1. Not to mention the performance on some stages. Still drops to 52fps on a 970. That hurts. And I can confirm it because I just loaded up the game since I last played it about a month ago.

        2. Yeah I didn’t know about those other issues. Thought it was just the graphics that people complained about.
