Dead Island Riptide 2

Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is free to keep on Steam

Deep Silver is currently giving away for free Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition on PC. Until February 15th, PC gamers can visit the game’s Steam store page and acquire their free copy.

Dead Island: Riptide is a continuation of Dead Island with the original four survivors, plus a new survivor. Players will be able to collaborate with their friends, and live through a story of the struggle for survival in a world gone mad.

The Definitive Edition is basically a remaster of Riptide. According to the devs, it has improved graphics and game models. Moreover, it comes with a better lighting system with physically based shading.

Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition originally came out in 2016. So, be sure to temper your expectations. The game has the same gameplay mechanics as the first Dead Island. And, to be honest, I wasn’t a fan of it when it came out. Dying Light and Dead Island 2 are miles better than the first Dead Island games.

Anyway, you can go ahead and acquire your free copy from this link. As said, the game will be free on Steam for the next couple of days. So, be sure to get it while it’s still available.

Have fun!

  1. Man, I really just don’t have to buy games anymore. Even Dakar Desert Rally is free soon, all I had to do was wait.

    1. It is amazing how cheap AAA gaming is for those of us that are patient. I haven’t bought a game in many years that wasn’t at least 75% off on a big sale. Some as much as 90% off.

But even at those prices most AAA games still aren’t worth it unfortunately. Even if they were free there’s no point in getting them when I know that I would never want to play them. I’m looking at you Starfield.

      1. buu huu, who cares if you want to play it or not? sounds to me like you are butthurt about starfield for some reason. If you dont like games then stop playing them its that simple, no need to tell everyone that + that you are poor and you cannot afford new games even if you wanted to.
By your logic everything is cheap, why buy new car if you can buy 20yr old used wreck? Why build new home if you can buy 80yr old ruined one for cheap. Just wait and everything will be cheap, what a way to live bro…

        1. The distinction lies in the fact that with video games, a mere wait of 6 months to a year often yields a substantially better version, with patches and dlcs. Conversely, delaying the purchase of a car doesn’t result in a “better version” of it.

      1. Telling me you don’t use the Heroic alt-launcher without telling me you don’t use Heroic alt-launcher, your loss.

  2. Just days ago I discovered this awesome website, a standout for fans. The gifted owner keeps visitors riveted with spot-on content. I’m stoked to be a new member of the community and eager to see what interesting content comes next!
