Crytek Brings Arena of Fate and Ryse: Son of Rome PC to Gamescom 2014

Crytek today announced that they will be among the attendees at Gamescom 2014, where they will invite players to battle it out in Arena of Fate and feast their eyes on the PC version of Ryse: Son of Rome.

As the press release reads, Arena of Fate will challenge the crowds at Gamescom to choose from legendary historical figures and prevail in intense 5 vs. 5 battles before time ticks away. From Robin Hood and Nikola Tesla to Joan of Arc and Fenrir, every player will find the perfect hero to suit their style in this action-packed online multiplayer game.

As well as going hands-on with Arena of Fate, conference attendees can experience an all-new incarnation of Ryse: Son of Rome. Featuring brutal battles and captivating drama from the heart of the Roman Empire, Ryse is now coming to PC ready for 4K resolution, and Gamescom visitors can be among the first to sample it with playable demos at Crytek’s booth.

Last but not least, Crytek will also have a presence in the Gamescom Business Center, where they will be showing off the latest developments with their cutting-edge CRYENGINE technology. Having recently been released on a subscription basis through Steam, and with some major titles currently in development based on the engine, now is the perfect time to see how CRYENGINE is continuing to keep licensees ahead of the game.

Gamescom attendees can visit Crytek on the show floor during Gamescom at booth B031 in hall 7.1.

  1. So PC gamers money is important in a sudden CRYTEK? Not what you said some years ago. And please dont cry.

      1. They only made one good game and that was Far Cry in 2004 . No need to cry for idiots, as they had it coming. Actually how they made this far is weird, if you think about it. Its however great that Deep Silver will make Homefront 2. Why you acting so stupidily. Are you a jew?

          1. what? what stealth approach? running in a linear corridor cloaked? thats stealth? u ever play crysis 1? in a huge island? that was stealth

  2. Crytek take my advice, never ever make an FPS again. People on PC are sick of generic COD/Halo clones thanks in part to your efforts with Crysis 2 & Crysis 3 among countless other unimaginative FPSs. Look at what Naughty Dog and Ubisoft Montreal is doing and follow their model of producing beautiful looking 3rd person games with interesting stories.

    1. It’ll make their games even worse , because they suck at telling good stories . Original Crysis had fun gameplay which made that game great . Story itself wasn’t anything special but it kept you playing the game , thanks to great presentation and gameplay/shooting mechanics .
Just read their latest interview with eurogamer , they are still following F2P money and have no interest in going back to their roots . Cavat was also quite arrogant during his interview . EG asked some tough questions .

    2. FasterThanFTL
      speaks the truth as well:

CRYTEK was a f…king kindergarten with those “pretty graphics whore boys” around. Nobody learned from DOOM (1993 !!) that it is NOT about graphics but gameplay ?!

    3. Wow, you need to stop thinking you speak for anyone but yourself.

Crytek, take my advice and don’t even bother listening to people who *think* they know what “people on PC are sick of”.

  3. There is a problem with cry engine. The games developed by third-party developers using cry engine is graphically different than CRYTEK’s games. But in the case of unreal engine, all the games are graphically same(including bugs and glitches).
