Crimson Desert rumored to be released in Q1 2025, will get a playable demo at Gamescom 2024

Lunatic Ignus, a reliable leaker for Chinese games like Black Myth Wukong, has shared some new details about Crimson Desert. According to the leaker, the game will come out in Q1 2025. Moreover, Pearl Abyss will have a new playable demo for it at this year’s Gamescom event.

This falls in line with the previous rumor about it. In December 2023, InsightKorea claimed that the game was unofficially delayed until 2025.

Crimson Desert is a new game where you will explore a massive fantasy world. In this game, three tribes are going to war for control of the Pywell continent, and it’s a fight for survival. The game’s development is led by Jason Jung, who used to design games like RYL Online. He’s working with Dae-il Kim, the founder of Pearl Abyss, and Eter Lee, who knows a lot about making action combat systems from his work on RYL Online and C9.

In July 2021, Pearl Abyss indefinitely delayed the game. As of now, the game doesn’t have any release date. Reports and rumors suggested that it was targeting a Q2 2024 release. However, and according to this latest report, we may not see it until 2025.

The latest trailer we have for Crimson Desert is its Gamescom 2023 trailer. That trailer featured 3 minutes of gameplay footage from it. And while it has been in development for a while, the game still looks incredible.

Lunatic Ignus also said that Pearl Abyss plans to release DokeV one year after the release of Crimson Desert. Again, this is similar to what InsightKorea has already stated. So, we now have two sources who claim that DokeV will be released in 2026.

As with all rumors, we strongly suggest taking everything you read with a grain of salt. After all, we’ll soon find out whether this rumor is legit. The reason I’m saying this is because the leaker claimed that the marketing campaign for Crimson Desert will begin this Summer. So, in one or three months, we’ll know whether this was true or not.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. Online game made by a Korean MMO developer.

So the game will be microtransaction garbage, and the community will consist of obese virgin weebs.

Excuse me while I throw up.

    1. Bear in mind that many P2W mechanics in these games, as well as extensive censorship, are implemented by Western publishers such as Amazon.

Conversely, the Korean versions of these games are often more balanced, less grind-focused, uncensored, and devoid of P2W elements.

This is why, recently, many people have preferred playing on Korean and/or Japanese servers, despite the high latency it entails, and have resorted to fan translations of the clients.

You are still entirely correct in your claims, but it’s not the main developers fault; it is entirely the fault of the West.

      1. I played a bit of western Lost Ark, it was ok, but i have a family so i can’t dedicate myself to these kind of games. But if tentation prevails, do you have resources, websites to try these games on Asian servers?

        1. Join the Lost Ark Discord, go to the role assignment tab, scroll up, and look for South Korea.

This will grant you access to the English patch, you can also ask additional questions there.
