Epic Games is currently giving away free copies of the co-op dino shooter, Second Extinction. For only one day, PC gamers can visit its EGS page and acquire their free copy.
As with all EGS offers, this is a “free-to-own” and not a “free-to-play” offer. This basically means that once you acquire your free copy, you’ll be able to keep the game yours forever.
Second Extinction pits teams of up to three players against swarms of bloodthirsty dinos in fast-paced battles across Earth’s post-apocalyptic wastelands. Players can equip a range of uniquely powerful weapons and abilities and fight on their own or with friends against monstrous dinosaurs.
The War Effort is Second Extinction’s community-driven global metagame: by completing missions and activities, you’ll directly impact the threat level and challenges players around the world face.

I do not think the Epic Game Store is profitable yet. In fact, I think it has been losing money. I would not be bragging if I were you.
It refuses to checkout for me, website and app are both the same.
Had the same issue. It finally worked for me. I added it to cart before checkout which seemed to help.
