CD Projekt RED has just released the official schedule for WitcherCon 2021. This official schedule re-affirms the lack of a new The Witcher game. Thus, and if you were looking forward to any news about The Witcher 4, you will be disappointed.
WitcherCon 2021 is a global virtual celebration of The Witcher. This digital convention will be streamed on both Netflix and CD Projekt RED’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
WitcherCon will offer deep dives into the making of The Witcher games, live-action series, anime film, and merchandise, including exclusive behind-the-scenes footage.
Now the good news for all Henry Cavil fans is that he will be present at this event. As CDPR revealed, there will be a spotlight conversation with Netflix’s Geralt.
Do note that this event will only last for a day and there will be two streams. The first one is on July 9th and the second is on July 10th. Additionally, both of these streams will have/show the exact same content. In other words, the July 10th stream is basically a re-run of the July 9th stream and nothing more.

What is even the point of this event? Witcher is celebrated like it’s this incredible thing… the first 2 games were forgettable. The third is just polished enough to be good but nothing amazing. The tv show is terrible. Most people that are crazy about witcher 3 just go with the hype. Only 30% of people have ever even finished witcher 3’s story according to the achievements on all platforms

The first Witcher game is the closest to the Witcher lore and atmosphere. The second and especially the third are attempts to appeal to the mass market from the West.
