Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Mod Tools Entering Closed Alpha Really Soon

Treyarch’s Director of Development has revealed that the closed alpha phase for the modding tools for Call of Duty: Black Ops III will begin really soon.

As pcdev claimed, the last game for which Treyarch released a map editor was eight years ago (Call of Duty: World at War), and the closed alpha for Black Ops III’s mod tools is right around the corner.

Whether this is too little too late remains to be seen. Still, it’s a good thing that Treyarch is going the extra mile and release mod tools for its shooter (watch and learn DICE).

We’ll be sure to let you know when these mod tools are out!

  1. DICE? it’s up to EA probably. Dragon Age Origins is probably the last title under EA that had mod tools if i recall and it was probably in development before EA buys Bioware. it had a good mod support cause Dragon Age was suppose to be a PC first franchise being Baldur’s Gate successor and all that…then EA had to milk it for consoles with Dragon Age 2…their love for Denuvo probably won’t help with this matter either in the future.
