Blizzard announces ‘I <3 StarCraft' event that will be held on March 25th

Blizzard has announced that it will hold a Starcraft event on March 25th in Korea. According to rumours, during this event, Blizzard will unveil a remastered version of StarCraft: Brood War. This remaster is rumoured to feature better visuals and an overhauled UI, and will retain the classic gameplay of its original version.

According to Blizzard, the event will start at 2:00 p.m., and will include various on- and off-stage activities throughout, as well as a StarCraft: Brood War show match featuring four legendary players.

Those unable to attend this event will be able to watch it live as Blizzard will offer an English stream.

Our guess is that during that tournament, Blizzard will reveal the remastered version of StarCraft: Brood War.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. still don’t understand why remaster brood war
there is literally a mod called starcraft mass recall which has all the campaign missions from vanilla SC to brood war with the full glory of SC2 graphics

why the F**K would they release something that’s available to the public
and not remaster something like Warcraft 2 (it seriously needs a 3D remaster)

my theory? they’re gonna be jews about it and just steal the work of the authors of mass recall, because blizzard=activision

    1. the remaster bloody well better be 2d. Because who cares about the campaign, it’s about multiplayer, and that has a 19 year history and they aren’t dumb enough to expect that people still playing it are going to switch to 3d any more than they did to SC2 (that is to say a lot did then went back)

  2. oh nice i played the crap out of broodwars but some of the missions were really tough so you know the cheats had to be pulled out food for thought any one ?
