A mysterious countdown timer appeared on Black Mesa’s official website, hinting towards: a) a new trailer for the unreleased content of Black Mesa or b) a possible release of that unreleased content.
According to its source code, the timer is counting down to the 05/05/15 8:47:00 GMT-6.
Our guess is that a new trailer – accompanied with the release date of Black Mesa’s second part – will be rolled out on May 5th.
In case you weren’t aware of, the official Black Mesa release was incomplete as it lacked Half-Life’s Xen mission.
Stay tuned for more!

I bet it will be a trailer and release date for the paid version.
Indeed, it’s like everyone’s forgotten the briefly “announced” Valve Partnership to bring forth a higher-quality paid version of Black Mesa to Steam.
I mean sure the Xen stuff would be nice, just so we could get it over with & people could FINALLY STOP ASKING ABOUT IT –
– but I’d rather have the paid version myself tbh, really curious to see what they’ll be able to do with actual, proper funding instead of just “guys in their free time” (not that Free Mesa wasn’t ridiculously impressive; it’s exactly because it was that I’m eager to see what they’re fully capable of doing).

Also lacked a map.

Black Mesa did feature the Surface Tension level, it was just missing sections that were in the original Half Life (which the mod adds back in). On a Rail is in a similar situation:

Just put the thang on Steam already.
