Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games announced today that the long-awaited Absolute Skills will be added to Black Desert Online with next week’s maintenance, right in time for the game’s second anniversary and celebratory events that kick off on the 28th of February.
Over the last two years, all 15 available classes received the first awakening weapon that provided Black Desert Online players with a whole new way to play their characters. It unlocked new powerful combos, fighting styles and tactical advantages that made each class more diverse, but it also meant that many players diverted away from their main weapon skills.
To rival the awakening weapons, Pearl Abyss has developed the Absolute Skills which balances the original main weapon with regards to damage output, giving players unprecedented freedom and a huge array of combat tactics to overcome even the toughest challenge.
The Absolute Skills will be available for characters of level 56 and above. Seasoned Black Desert Online players will be pleased to know that all 15 classes will be updated at the same time, along with Pearl Shop sales for all Classic Outfit sets.

Still not touching that grindy and gender locked class MMO.
Yep it’s VERY grindy and RNG, also don’t understand why people have such an issue with gender lock, both genders have a good variety of classes now. At least they give you some free good looking armour now, lots of silver and daily rewards.
Honestly, hardly any other MMO has decided to lock entire classes behind a gender, it’s not really and objectively good thing to do.
Maybe because it’s Korean and they view it like their culture. I don’t have a problem with it, I pick the class and customise it, the classes seem to suit the genders anyway.
That’s good for your tastes and all, but I’m still not playing it due to one of those reasons.
Guess you haven’t played TERA.
Only a Sith deals in Absolutes.
This is all good and whatnot, But personally I’m just waiting for the upcoming new Lahn class and the quality of life improvements such as the new UI and the 3D map.
