Pearl Abyss and Kakao Games have announced today the first results of their Remastered campaign amidst renewed interest among Black Desert Online fans and new players alike.
Last week, Black Desert Online was updated with enhanced visuals and a newly recorded orchestral score to provide the most immersive in-game experience possible. As a result, Black Desert Online has seen an average week-over-week increase of 103.6% in returning players and a 24.2% increase in new player acquisition across NA/EU regions.
Minsung Kim, CEO at Kakao Games Europe B.V. said:
“Pearl Abyss has done a fantastic job on Black Desert Remastered. The game was already had the best in-game visuals, but with Black Desert Remastered, the developers have really pushed the envelope. It is no wonder that so many players are returning to the game.”
Jae Hee Kim, Executive Producer at Pearl Abyss, added:
“We are ecstatic after seeing that our hard work on Black Desert Remastered has been so positively perceived by the community at large. The heart-warming reactions have definitely been a morale booster. We want to thank our players all over the world for playing our game. We are highly motivated to keep the game current and up-to-date by continuing to develop exciting new content while striving for continuous improvements and optimizations.”

I wonder how long it will last
sadly the same as how it always lasts with BDO. people race to level 56-57 then poof…real game starts and most leave.
Probably because they don’t dump hundreds of dollars into the game to begin to have a chance at affording end game gear and all the other useless nonsense you have to have in order to compete in PVP effectively or level up past the soft-cap.
you can’t buy gear… lol… And nothing in the cash shop makes you lvl up faster… I am lvl 60 and I never used anything in the cash shop for any such things…
Gear means more than just literal Equipment, that’s not what I’m talking about. It’s a god damn fact, that purchasing weight increases, pets, and other various things that make you earn in game money at an exponentially higher rate than a person who doesn’t spend money on the game helps you out incredibly. Especially when upgrading gear. Yes you can do it without spending money. But it absolutely is better to spend money on the game to make everything far easier.
I’ve been playing for years and the enhancement system still sucks. They are working on ways to make things easy for new players… But with no real explanation of how the enchantment system works it’s still all RNG BS.
And 24.2% increased people who will have to dump over 400 dollars into the game to even begin to have a chance to play at the end game and actually enjoy the game and all the systems it has.
There is a sucker born every minute, and those jackas*es have chosen to play BDO like the cattle they are. F*ck BDO right up it’s Korean MMO backside.
