All joking aside, our guess is that Bethesda will reveal – for the first time to the public – the next Doom game. Doom was showcased to all Quakecon attendees, so our best bet is to get a more polished gameplay trailer based on that build.
Still, it will be interesting to see whether Bethesda will announce any new IP or a new game from the aforementioned video-game series.

I know the engine from Rage isn’t getting any love on the interwebs, but this is another version. idtech engines along the years practically invented graphics :)) We should be thrilled at the prospect of a new engine in this familly

I hope they reveal Doom 4, I’m dying to see that game. I just can’t understand how in this age of wiki leaks, when it’s so hard to keep something a secret, nobody could record and upload to youtube the Doom 4 video that was shown on last yeat’s Quakecon. I’ve searched for it and found nothing.
I also want to see what they have in terms of graphics engine, since I understand an important member of the Crytek team moved over to Bethesda. They really should ditch idtech 5.

Well it was made by san diego on a earlier rage engine.
Your point is? GTA IV was made with an even earlier rage engine and it ran.
My point is that san diego made the rage engine, it stands to reason that red dead is using an older engine, i dont know if it does but rockstar has said that max payne 3 came out with a newer version of the engine than gta v.

Now they want to troll us all and instead of Doom, FallOut or a new Elder Scrolls, they come out with a new Quake….or maybe the continuation for RAGE (I personally can live with that since the ending was terrible like if they wanted to continue the game but they decided to stop there…and/or a new Doom).
As someone said it can also be a new Dishonored.
Its most likely is the Dishonored 2 since there was some leaks months ago. I would rather get any of those games instead of Dishonored :/
They said in 2013 that after doom they will decide what to do with rage.

E3 is full of fake footage anyway, best thing you can do is take the footage of the games with a pinch of salt.

Man I can’t help but feel a bit sad that gone are the days when iD Software was on the forefront of computer graphics and their new DOOM or Quake game would showcase the power of their newest game engine…
good thing is, they have their own conf. that means they don’t go to MS or Sony and showcase their games on their conf. bad thing is, they want to talk about scrolls online and some mmo crap that they tried and they failed.

Wouldn’t be sad if they only announce new Doom and/or FallOut games, since so many people are waiting too long for those games.
But i would bet all my chips on a new TES game for 2016, because of their tradition of keeping absolute secret until 1 year before release, that occurs after 4, 5 years after previous game of the franchise and Skyrim was released in 2011 so it would be something logical… but maybe TES Online could have influenced their calendar, so it’s a really risky bet. Let’s see 🙂
OMG now it’s true… Everything from the old ID is gone. Expect Doom 4 to be a console port and not PC to console like the previous Doom games of the past. Oh how the legendary series has fallen
