As everyone knows the Belgian Gaming Commission has ruled that loot boxes are illegal gambling and has ordered Publishers to remove them. EA is refusing to remove to loot boxes from FIFA 18. In addition they are planning to add to the roster of loot boxes in FIFA 19 to further tune the chances against the customers.
If the Belgian Public Prosecutor decides to go forward with legal prosecution then EA intends to fight it in court. Could get interesting if this escalates.
I would like to see ea lose but i doubt that

there’s less players, besides i don’t like the 4th that much, and i don’t own it.
4s netcode is completely broken.
Play the older ones, they have quality players and 1 or 2 servers are nearly always full even after EA tried everything to shut them down.
It’s an infinitely better experience than the tripe they’ve been putting out and that includes the WWI game that has an African American on the front of it’s cover and an Anti Bullet armor suit.
I’ve re played BFBC2 not that much ago, much better than anything that came after

that’s what happens when you ship a game 20% complete and charge people an outrageous price for server hosting
if that’s not enough, they also shuffled some broke a$$ weapons in the French and Russian DLC’s which trump any Vanilla gun in the game
(the Russian automatic Rifle and the French Self-loading 2 shot kill rifle)
of course, you had to go through some BS challanges first
but the end result with people using histroically inaccurate guns in every server
which completely immersion
