Batman: Arkham Knight – PC Version Will Be Available For Purchase At The End Of October

Warner Bros and Rocksteady announced that the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight will be available for purchase at the end of October. As Arkham Knight’s community admin Yorick claimed in a new update, a new patch will be also released at the end of October that will bring additional improvements to the game.

As Yorick noted:

“As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post. We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place. “

It will be interesting to see whether Rocksteady has addressed that awful VRAM usage that plagued the game after its latest update. It will be also interesting to see whether SLI/Crossfire will be enabled, and whether the game will be bug-free at its time of – new – release.

Stay tuned for more!

  1. It’s about F’ing time. I mean as much as I hated this disaster. I take it as a blessing! Why? Because even Nvidia is really stepping in with developers. Not the BS video’s over and over again with “We been working closely with Nvidia” cough cough every gameworks video from the last year. However at least Tripwire is legit and they use Gameworks and PhysX Flex very well I would say.

But on a serious none trolling note. Steam’s refund policy played a huge part in this. BTW Origins did refunds before steam just a tidbit.

However I find it great that this game was such a F’k up on PC because now we are seeing Ubisoft delay games on PC and Ubisoft is still under the gameworks program. And most recent I was very happy with the extended play they put on the Rainbow6 Beta. And they even fixed the freaking matchmaking. But seeing Ubisoft delaying games on PC makes me want to believe they are for once taking a step in the right direction for making their games work. AC Syndicate will be the true test I would think.

But back to Nvidia. They also having to work with the developers now and not just slap them with SDK and pretty much be like good luck with your game on PC. Since making optimization for SDK only is not good enough. Period. The way they worked with Kojima Productions in Metal Gear GZ and Phantom Pain should be a Standard from Nvidia to help developers optimize for PC hardware. Since past Ubisoft games in my point of view have just been console ports with gameworks put in and that ends up being junk performance for PC gamer’s. And when that happens it just makes Nvidia look bad and their SDK look like crap.

So yeah that sum’s it up with helping Developers like Ubisoft, and various developers. I can only hope Batman Arkham knight taught Developers a lesson as well as Nvidia a lesson. We can only hope.

  2. Wait it is not available to buy? BAHAAHHAHAHA LOL

By the time it is out, there will be a pirated version with all the dlcs and denuvo cracked.

Seriously they released a broken game, so bad they removed it from the shops and they used denuvo to make it uncrackable along with very high requirements, so everyone bought it on consoles were it worked….and now they will release it on pc for the same price with a new version of denuvo, anyone buys this crap is an idiot.

Full price of a old game with problems and insane high requirements. I dont know wherever the drm does or doesnt mess with HDD but with a game taht has such hard time to stream textures, it propably will. Seriously the pc version is cancer. Should be given at half the price.

    1. “I dont know wherever the drm does or doesnt mess with HDD”

It doesn’t. This has been proved ages ago.

  3. guess they have done milking the console gamers and now only want to focus on PC. i’ll tell you what WB.. you dont get a dime from me.. until maybe it’s 5 quid
