A couple of days ago, we informed you about the availability of Phantasy Star Online 2 in the West. Apparently, this was not true. While players were able to download the game, Asiansoft claimed that it has not lifted the IP block for non-SEA users.
As the company claimed:
“There has been some speculations within the community that PSO2SEA has lifted the IP block for non-SEA users. We wish to clarify that this is entirely not true. The recent technical difficulties were all due to connectivity issues with an ISP, and as of last week the technical issue has been resolved.”
And that is that.
Phantasy Star Online 2 is a Massively Multiplayer Action Online Role Playing Game (MMOARPG) where players take a journey into an immersive sci-fi fantasy narrative and explore mysterious worlds to unravel their secrets.
As of right now, it remains a mystery if and when this game will officially come to the West.

Why do people want garbage games like this when we have batman.
Black Desert might be worth the effort.
Sure, go play Batman for the next 50 years; strong argument you have there against new games.
While Black Desert does have some detailed characters the actual gameplay is very standard Asian grindy MMORPG, Also the story is very poor.
I like my character pretty. Not many games get that right. I cannot play a game for 5 minutes straight with a character who looks beaten to death and washed in mud.
bcuz its MMO
And nothing of value was lost.
Why all the hate for PSO2 here? Honestly, it’s one of the most fun online games I’ve had the pleasure of playing in quite some time. Sure, the graphics aren’t incredible, but the gameplay is fantastic, and the wealth of content alongside the random generation means it’s very difficult to run out of cool things to do.
