After failing to meet its initial goal, Barry Collins decided to give Ashen Rift another chance and re-launched the game’s Kickstarter campaign. In addition, a new set of screenshots has been released for this post-apocalyptic Unity-powered first-person title. Ashen Rift looks great and has a lot of potential, so here is hoping that this new Kickstarter campaign will hit its initial$85K goal.

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. That looks amazing
I wanted to back this the first time. But I stopped backing on KS laste year. That being said…
On the KS page:
“Currently, the various team members working on Ashen Rift can often disappear for days and weeks at a time, between the few hours they can provide in their off time, when they’re not working for other employers.”
I get that. And I have heard it before. But he is asking for almost twice the amount and the last KS failed. I wasn’t going to back before and definitely not after reading this.
It looks incredible but damn I got enough KS projects still not done and that was with people saying they will do it full-time using KS funds.
Kickstarter is kind of a great scam.
Kickstarter campaign, crowfunding campaign and so on, nothing but fancy words for what some of these are and thats: E-begging. What makes it tough is: Some are for real while others are not.
