Bandai Namco revealed that Akira Toriyama’s new action RPG, SAND LAND, will hit stores on April 26th. To make things even more exciting, they’ve released a new trailer to celebrate. So, go ahead and watch it after the jump.
In SAND LAND, players will dive into a desert world where both humans and demons suffer from an extreme water shortage. Players will be able to play as the Fiend Prince, Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao and demon Thief.
In this new RPG, you’ll lead a group of heroes, and together, you’ll go on adventures. As said, the characters are created by Akira Toriyama, the man behind Dragon Ball & Dr. Slump.
Players can use their creativity to build tanks and other vehicles for adventures. They can mix and match different parts for cool combinations. Plus, they can grow their home base into a bustling city with the help of new friends they meet on their journey.
Now I don’t know if it’s just me, but the visuals of this trailer look better than before. Perhaps it’s the contrast that appears to be a bit higher. So, while SAND LAND doesn’t appear to be pushing the graphical boundaries of modern action RPGs, it at least has an amazing art style. And that’s completely fine in my books.
Since I’m a fan of Akira Toriyama, I’m really looking forward to it. After all, I also enjoyed Dragon Quest XI, though it took me a while to adjust. After all, the main protagonist looked similar to Android 17 so it felt a bit weird at first. Heh, in another timeline, Trunks will be pissed reading this.
