Back in April, we reported about an “Adult Only” patch that Madmind Studio was planning to release for the PC version of Agony. This patch would restore some content that was censored from the game, however it appears that there won’t be such a patch after all.
As the developers noted, the censorship affects only several seconds from two endings (out of seven) and some scenes that may be unlocked only after the end of the game. Moreover, and due to legal issues, Madmind is not going to be able to release the Adult Only patch. Do note though that the censored content does not affect the game in any significant way because the deleted material that was supposed to be added in the latest version of the patch is from two endings (out of seven) and some scenes that may be unlocked only after the end of the game.
Last but not least, the developers will publish a comparison video on May 30th between the final and the censored versions!

I don’t understand the issue, didn’t Steam allow Hatred despite it being AO? I get this on consoles, but there shouldn’t be any issues on PC.

No it’s not sexual content, sexual stuff, blood and flesh you will find in censored version, this is something beyond that.
theres tons of hentai games on steam with patches provided by the devs to unlock more content on steam. no reason they cant do that

They’ll absolutely release it later on, they just have to hold off until it releases and they get some financial gain to ease the suffrage of development. After they’ve got money in the bank they’ll release it and anyone who doesn’t approve can cry all they want at that point.

Don’t promise something that you cannot honor. If no one knew something was censored no one would care. Just look at what Outlast 2 did.

They didn’t lie, they had to walk back on the AO patch because they apparently can get sued for it in their native country of Poland for obscenity charges if they release it at all and the studio would go completely and totally bankrupt.

The problem is more likely Steam in this case which over the last few weeks has been waving the censorship flag and cracking down on adult content. They’ve even removed games entirely without warning and are refusing to communicate with the developers.
It has to due with them being sued in their native country, that’s pretty much what it comes down too.

The Switch is a console. It runs core games that consoles don’t and they’re controller based. The Switch proves consoles still thrive and will continue to. Its most popular games can’t work on tablets. Not to mention how well the PS4 is doing. Consoles will most likely be around as long as gaming exists.
Can’t tell if troll. Phones have crappy games built for touch screens, Switch has significantly higher quality games and more traditional controls. Difference is night and day. They provide entirely different experiences. They’re not comparable.
Tablets can also emulate plenty of core consoles. Are those no longer real games or a real console experience because of the form factor?

This comment shows incredible close-mindedness. Tablet is just a convenient form factor. At this point you can take most consoles that have existed and put them in that form. It doesn’t take anything away from them.
You basically just said take away the thing that makes it a console and it’s not a console. Duh? If you take away the Vita’s control options it’s a small tablet. Just because the joycons fully detach for docked mode doesn’t make it any different. It’s a smart design.
The joycons are detachable. That’s a design choice and a good one. Them not being superglued in making it a tablet instead of a console is a facetious argument kiddo.
Adding a joycon like device to a phone or tablet already exists in one form or another. It doesn’t turn the device into a console. They still function differently and with different purposes. Adding a controller to a tablet doesn’t give it AAA games, get rid of the mobile garbage, and add console functionality.

Disappointing. As much as I want to hold it against the devs and avoid the game, my first instinct may be wrong. This could very well be more of Valve’s recent censorship crusade in action.
