It’s been more than a month since the release of Cyberpunk 2077. Since then, the game has sold more than thirteen million copies, despite the messy launch.
These are almost half of The Witcher 3 sales within a month. The Witcher 3 sold more than twenty-eight million copies, and it’s a six year old game with a Netflix show, and a long list of books.
What about refunds though? We already know that you can refund the game in every platform. You can even refund the game from the Playstasion Store. In case you didn’t know, Sony does not like refunds, and probably never will.
According to a community poll created by Upper Echelon Gamers, approximately two million copies of Cyberpunk 2077 have been refunded.
Be aware that this data is not one hundred percent precise. It is simply a rough estimate, solely based on Youtube community polling, which is completely anonymous.
Hence, it cannot be taken as a precise measurement, but it can provide some information regarding refunds.

He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. I would have gladfully returned mine, but sadly i have more than 2 hours played.
I don’t think that matters. That’s the refund policy for all Steam games. Pretty sure CP2077 had exceptions.
Nah, steam refused me, i have like 20hrs on it. And i went through the CPDR method but it was only for consoles.
20 hours? yeah I can see why they would refuse you
Lol and you wanted a refund after 20 hours played. The entitlement is strong with you
well really 2 hours is barely giving the game a chance. hell, it’s hardly even time to get the game running somewhat smoothly. I think I only reached maybe level 10 and only got to the Keanu part as I tired to take in everything the game offers (and it isnt much).
Considering I have over 200hrs in Witcher 3, and CDPR was claiming 100+ hrs with the side content I don’t think 20hrs is that much. And when the devs where tweeting that they would even refund from their own pockets if need be, yeah I feel a little entitled, so what?
lol, you are so entitled you even make a post trying to justify getting a refund after playing 20 hours. Dude, really
Should’ve bought it on GOG and played via the desktop link to the executable and not via GOG Galaxy.
I played it via executable out of preference really and not because I had an initial goal to refund it. But then I saw that my playroom GOG Galaxy was still stuck at 30 minutes or so.
Anyway if GOG are providing refunds irrespective of playtime count then good on them.
Well, maybe next time dont release it bug-infested, unfinished and butchered with missing features.
