A Plague Tale: Innocence free trial/demo is now available for download on Steam

Focus Home Interactive has released a free trial/demo for A Plague Tale: Innocence. This free trial will allow any player to experience the full first chapter of Hugo and Amicia’s story, giving you just a glimpse of the riveting, chaotic, and highly rated tale.

In order to celebrate this announcement, the publishers has also released a new Free Trial trailer. This trailer will give players just a few hints at what lies in wait.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a gorgeous mixture of adventure, puzzle solving, deadly combat, and stealth. This combines for an experience that maintains incredible reviews from press and players alike.

In this action adventure game, players will assume the role of Amicia De Rune. As Amicia, you’ll have to protect your brother Hugo and yourself from deadly disease, swarms of rats, and armies of merciless warriors.

A Plague Tale: Innocence is a great game so I strongly suggest downloading its demo. You can do so by visiting its Steam store page. It’s also worth noting that the game comes with a 33% discount until September 16th.

Enjoy!

  1. Has anyone played this? I was on the fence of getting it was about to buy it and now a DEMO?!?! Have i read right a DEMO?

Did I wake up in the 90s?

    Good stuff!

      1. Let’s try the demo and then we shall see 😉

That’s what I’m going to do. Why the fk there are no demos anymore, it pains me. That being said, steam has that 2hour refund. Kinda acts as a demo but the principle isn’t the same ;(

        1. Because vast majority of the games we get now are sh*t and if we would be able to test them first without paying then they would lose a lot of sales.

Imagine getting demo on Anthem, 76 and many recent AAA games

          1. They did have a demo for Anthem. I tried it for 2 hours and that is more than enough Anthem for me for a lifetime.

  2. isnt this game like months old wtf? do it before or like within a week or 2 of launch. dont use it as a ploy because your meme game is failing

    1. It’s what they all do. Ubisoft obviously forced Redlynx to produce a demo for Trials Rising as well. Game released in a horrid state, is still very buggy and got deservedly bad reviews on Steam, and now the last DLC came out together with a free demo.

  3. I really encourage everyone who liked The Last Of Us to give this a try if you like a well told story with amazing atmosphere, but also don’t mind some rough edges and basic stealth mechanics. It’s basically TLOU on a budget, the graphics are amazing, and considering that it’s made by a smaller team, it is praiseworthy.

      1. Just a reminder, tamper your expectations, don’t expect AAA quality, this is AA after all, but it is really stretching it’s borders. The animations aren’t AAA quality, the progression is linear (well, as in TLOU), and the stealth is very basic unfortunately, which mostly relies on a short-sighted AI. But for me, the atmosphere, the music, the graphics (which is still one of the best this year, surprising considering that this was done by a smaller team), the chemistry between the two lead characters, a well told story and a well paced campaign hugely made up for it’s shortcomings.

  4. Good game but annoying final boss fight make me don’t want to replay it. But I hope they release some dlc story or something…
