This week Gaming After Dark is back for a special episode, as both of us have received our Steam Deck from Valve and give impressions regarding our usage so far. There isn’t much in terms of news for this episode, it’s really a discussion regarding what our experience with Valve’s handheld Linux PC was. Nonetheless, we did cover a few topics.   1. I remember when the Steam Deck was first announced alot of people were disappointed with the fact that it would be running the Linux-based SteamOS; many even claiming they would get one just to install Windows on it.

    Around half a year after launch, these people are nowhere to be seen or heard anymore…

    1. It certainly didn’t help the Deck needs specialized drivers. You can’t just use the regular AMD Adrenalin drivers.

    2. I was always going to give Linux a shot. But I was impressed and have no intention of installing Windows on my Deck.
