if this is like monster hunter, i can play monster hunter or toukiden, if this is wow looking aciton arpg i can just play kingdoms of amalaur.
Meaning? Just about any game out there has other similar games to it, same goes for exclusives… I really don’t get your comment, unless you are one of those console only players, hanging around PC Gaming sites just to post crap, then I might understand.
Meaning this is monster hunter with wow graphics and if it isnt then its a action rpg with wow graphics, both those exists, i dont see the point of this game, it is yet another mmo/moba that will be forgotten pretty fast.
its not an mmo/moba at all, i played the closed alphas, close to 12 different events. Its not a moba, its not an mmo. Its a party based monster hunting game. It most closely resembles monster hunter. you get into a party with (in alpha) 4 other hunters, making a party of 5 AT THE TIME, devs said they might reduce it to 4 per party for sake of balance. Now yes you can play monster hunter but if you dont like/want to support nintendo, this is a very good option. Control scheme works very well, way better than a f’ing 3ds control scheme and it looks way better being on a better platform. Toukiden is ok but a bit too much $ to validate the purchase. More options is always better for consumers. If you dont like the game that doesnt mean it doesnt have the right to exist, thats extremely arrogant of you to think that way. Grow up, dont play it if you dont want to but its better to have more games to play than less, if you think otherwise youre honestly just a fcking dip$hit
Ooohh… someone who actually played it. Is this game going to be online only? and how do you stack it against MonHun? especially combat?
Toukiden 1/2 is okay but MonHun’s definitely superior for me coz the combat mechanic is much more refined
I will say MH is more polished, The combat was pretty good though, i mostly used the chainblades bc they have close and far ranged moves to cover a variety of situations. If a real MH game came out for PC it would beat dauntless but compared to toukiden dauntless holds its own pretty well. the devs were online at all times during the alpha events and were taking questions, suggestions etc. they didnt give us corporate bullshit answers, but real ones with details. Keep in mind the game was alpha so it was a bit rough but i had a fantastic time playing it.
Is this game going to be online only? or will it have single player experience like other hunting games?
It seems that it was online-focused. I did a couple of solo missions against lower level behemoths but once i got past the shrike(the owl thing) solo was no longer an option. these monsters are extremly punishing and agile. Even the Pangar which is this armadillo monster thing, is insanely mobile and hits like a truck. i didnt ask about a solo campaign to be honest, never came to mind. This is the type of game you play with a personal group of friends and coordinate strats. I wouldnt want to play this game alone but thats me and everyones different
I always play solo. It takes me longer to kill a boss class monster than with a party but I want to take them on single handedly. Oh yeah, by online only I meant will it have offline mode or is it going to be like an MMO where I need to be always online?
It’s monster hunter online co-op, something that isn’t on pc. It’s probaby going to be huge.
this is not going to be pc exclusive.
I wouldn’t call it a PC exclusive. This gen means anything can go in any direction. The only ones who are ever loyal to a platform for exclusivity these days are those who get handed huge sacks of cash. Either that or it’s an RTS that’d never work on the console.
you pc guys sure love you INSPIRED BY games..lol.
