Ubisoft has just officially revealed Far Cry 5. Far Cry 5 will take place in Hope County, Montana, in which players’ arrival incites the cult to violently seize control of the region. As such, players must rise up and spark the fires of resistance to liberate a besieged community.
Far Cry 5 will let players explore Hope County’s rivers, lands, and skies with the largest customizable weapon and vehicle roster ever in a Far Cry game.
As the game’s description reads:
“You are the hero of the story in a thrilling world that hits back with every punch, and where the places you discover and the locals you ally with will shape your story in ways you’ll never see coming.”
Far Cry 5 will be released on February 27th, 2018.

Lighten up a bit. It’s just a video game. It’s also not the first time a game has been revealed many months or a bunch of years before it’s release. The Witcher 3 was revealed in 2013 and came out in 2015.
The only thing i like is that it has more buildings and towns than the previous games, oh and that you can kill relegious MURICAN rednecks.

Of course it will it’s Ubisoft after all. Still can’t deny the fact that it’s gonna look pretty as have all the recent Ubisoft titles.
A precise release date over half a year prior = joke date, will be “delayed” at least once.
People ought to know that “in-engine” footage isn’t ACTUAL gameplay. There’s a difference and Ubisoft plays on that nuance to fool customers.

But I’d rather wait and see the gameplay in motion. Read that you’ll be able to tame animals and stuff which doesn’t bode well. Hope they don’t take it too far. Gameplay needs a slight makeover from the previous iterations.
Announcing and showing parts of this game when it’s still 9 months away from being released isn’t a bright idea Ubisoft.
I despise these comments. I really do lol. It’s like saying nobody else is allowed to make Go Kart games because Mario Kart was the first or the biggest influence for that type of genre. Or that if a game tries to attempt to make an open wild west game it’s a Red Dead clone. There’s plenty of room for people to make games with similar settings.
Dude GTA may look like the best city open world game at this moment but the game clearly looks last gen. Even with the upgrade they did for current gen systems. This looks a whole lot better in my eyes. But yes it could easily be downgraded given Ubisoft’s track record.
Watch Dogs 2 imo looks better than Gta V. At least when you’re comparing the vanilla one.
Good point. I didn’t check out too much of that game but from what I remembered it looked pretty good in some areas. Character models were great too. Well from what I saw in the trailers at least.
i LOVE (and own) all Farcry , BUT i don’t have the money for buy SeasonPassDLC’S so i disagree this Politics of Monetizations (And i need to say that Ubisoft with The Division and For Honor that is full of this DELUDE me so much,i miss the time of Splinter Cell,Prince Of Persia and Farcry FULL games at 1 price)
So i HOPE that Farcry5 will be selled at 1 PRICE that include ALL contents future and i will be happy to buy it.
VICEVERSA if the game will be selled with DLC’S or SEASON like destiny,the division or for honor selled separated, i will get it PIRATE ILLEGAL and CRACKED and play it for FREE (and FULL with all the dlc’s).
Everyone goes on about how games and other media are becoming SJW and pandering to PC culture but the truth is you guys will never understand simply because you will not be able to relate. Look, I have no problem with white protagonists in videogames but I do kinda like that there’s a bit of a push to feature more people of colour in videogames too as a means of making it more relatable across a wider audience. Yeah you can scream “YOU SJW CUCK!!!” all you want but the truth is you guys will not understand because protagonists has mostly always been white and as such you’ve always been able to relate better to white characters. Now when there’s a push for more diversity, it’s seen as “bad” and “pandering”. I only consider it pandering when white characters are blackwashed, asianwashed etc but honestly I don’t care that much about it because whitewashing occurs too.
i’m HURT by UBISOFT (but not only they also bungie,ea and many more) monetization in DLC’S and SEASON PASS with The Division and For Honor (That i DONT buy coz DISAGREE) so i DONT buy FARCRY5 at Release Date but WAIT 1 YEAR and buy it at CHEAP prices when there is DEAL on STEAM VALVE store that include the GAME + ALL the DLC’S at 15€ or 29€ (and not at 69,99€ like the ps store or xbox store sell it INCOMPLETE without DLCS and WITHOUT SEASON.

Lets hate on this game too. No this time i’m gonna join the haters haha i think for the first time ever this might be my first far cry i simply avoid has nothing to do with any lame political reason just don’t think this will have the far cry feel.
I’m sorry but this will not have the tropical feel that i loved in the series.
Guess my prediction didn’t quite come true. These graphics are not the same as the photoreal previews, rather they are Far Cry 4.5 as you would expect for the actual game. Of course this is still a “max settings” level that won’t be achievable even in the PC version so it’s still typical Ubisoft false advertising but it’s not as bad as I expected.
Regarding the game: Here’s your new Vaas-based CURAAAZY villain and I guess instead of towers you climb trees and mountain tops or whatever. Happy?
