After a number of delays, Gun Media and IllFonic announced that Friday the 13th: The Game will launch on May 26th. In order to celebrate this announcement, Gun Media has also released a new trailer for Friday the 13th: The Game that can be viewed below.
Friday the 13th: The Game is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player controls Jason Voorhees while the remaining seven control camp counselors trying to survive the night.
The game will also feature a single-player mode that will be added to it later this Summer.
Enjoy!

In my opinion, third person perspective ruins the whole thing. Maybe it would be acceptable if only Jason had this ability, but survivors? That’s stupid. Destroys the immersion and much of the tension.
Seeing other players around corners is one of the silliest things in multiplayer games.
Neither the devs of Dead by Daylight nor Friday the 13th realize this. What a shame.
3rd person is always crap, one of the worst trends in gaming.
I played it during a free weekend. I could only see the world from the third person perspective, as survivors and as a killer. And yes, I could hide behind obstacles and see other players around them (as in every TPP game).

It looks like this (I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a proper screenshot from this game).
So they finally released it themselves after hording the license for so long lol. I think I would prefer a Slaughter House reboot all the same lol. Good job on the booty shorts, but not enough of them…
