Game Artist Etienne Beschet is currently working on a fan-made Star Wars game, called Star Wars Redemption. Star Wars Redemption may take place between Episode 2 and Episode 5, and from the looks of it Etienne Beschet aims to create a third-person game.
While Star Wars Redemption is still in a very early stage, Etienne Beschet released the first screenshots in order to showcase the atmosphere he’s aiming to create.
Keep in mind that these screenshots are from an early build (yes, those textures need a lot of work), and the whole project is being created by a single person. In other words, this will most probably never see the light of day due to copyright issues (same thing that happened with the fan-made Battlefront 3 game).
Still, it’s fascinating witnessing an individual working on such a grand project.
Enjoy!

While he is a die-hard PC gamer, his gaming roots can be found on consoles. John loved – and still does – the 16-bit consoles, and considers SNES to be one of the best consoles. Still, the PC platform won him over consoles. That was mainly due to 3DFX and its iconic dedicated 3D accelerator graphics card, Voodoo 2. John has also written a higher degree thesis on the “The Evolution of PC graphics cards.”

What this guy (and many others recently) did is like standing outdoors and holding a metal rod in your raised hand during a thunderstorm. You’re just asking for getting struck.
they should just name it something else to fly under the radar
Yes, and then change the names back when things are finished. Or finish the whole game before announcing it. But I guess keeping things secret for so long would be really hard.
Looks like a game from 1999.
All of these are just publicity stunts by rogue developers.
If they weren’t so, they would’t use Star Wars IP….
Probably a project to showcase the scope of his skills. Doubt it’ll become a full-fledged game.
This game has zero chance. At least the Apeiron KOTOR remake in Unreal Engine 4 has like a 0.00001 percent chance EA/Bioware will allow it like Black Mesa. EA is EA though. They are no Valve so don’t count on it.
TFW EA created such a horrible atrocity of a “Battlefront” game that there is more excitement for un-licensed indies in pre-alpha.
