Lost Soul Aside is a fantasy action game created by a single person, gets first gameplay trailer

Yang Bing has released the first gameplay trailer for his upcoming fantasy action game, Lost Souls Aside. Lost Soul Aside is powered by Unreal Engine 4 and Yang has been working on this for two years. It looks spectacular – especially when you consider that it is created by a single person – so be sure to watch the trailer after the jump!

  1. Wwwwow 0_0
FF 15 esque graphics and a godly Devil May Cry(not that remake garbage) combat mechanics. A little bit of polish and this will be freaking gold 0_0

Edit : I’ll share this video on FB so it’ll get more attention
    Nice find DSO *thumbs up

      1. It may seem the same but if you played the original DMC 1-4, you will notice the differences. Like how slow the combat system is compared to the first 4 games for one thing

  2. :O

His skills more than make up for the lack of originality (FF XV and some UE4 assets).
    Waiting for the demo. 🙂

  3. This is made by ONE GUY? Jesus f*cking Christ why isn’t he the face of indie gaming already? Good lord, I can almost swear this has got to be a lie. I would gladly pay 60$ for this and then some. One guy… unbelievable. He just took the entire notion of an “indie budget” and turned it on its head. And I thought Strike Vector was as good as indie games ever get. And this is not even a multiplayer game, but a frickin’ single-player hack and slash!

Thank you John for posting this. Please share more information about him if possible… provide him the exposure for goodness sake! How can we contact this prodigy?

F*ck isometric 8-bit bulls*it… this guy KNOWS how to make games. Someone get in touch with PCGamer and Kotaku!

      1. Thanks so much John, I’ve already gotten in touch with him and am mailing out his trailer to a bunch of outlets. I hope you’ll keep us informed as well of any developments!

  4. Looks solid!
As for the guy behind it, he’s got one hell of a nerve taking on a project like this on his own!
Going to watch this one closely.

  5. Dude… if we get 3 guys like this man to team up we’d probably get better games than triple A games companies with huge budgets… respect !

  6. I love spectacle fighters, im down. It makes me thing FF meets Ninja Gaiden(xbox) meets Devil May Cry and all those things are good 🙂

  7. 1 chinese guy made this? Which work is close to something made by a large group of guys? lol

  8. Wasn’t expecting much before seeing the trailer, but man that combat looks absolutely insane. This guy is going to have a great future in the games industry.

  9. I this looks like a spectacle fighter, which is cool as we don’t have nearly enough (recent) ones on PC. The quality of the assets looks great, but I did notice some issues with lod transitions that led to some pretty blatent pop Also while at first glance the backgrounds/levels look diverse, quite a few of them were kind of barren or simplistic. But this is being made by 1 guy, it’s an amazing endevour, and I’ll be keeping my eye out for it, if/when it hits steam.

  10. This level of talent is quite simply otherwordly… This one-man army literally deserves all the support that the gaming community can give him. Personally, spreading the word more is the least I could do….

    Wow

  11. I’m already taking all those things into account and my point still stands. I’m quite aware of how game development works for the most part and what he has achieved is quite unprecedented regardless.
