Nordic Games has officially revealed the Warmastered Edition of Darksiders. Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will feature higher quality textures, rendering improvements and rework, better shadow rendering quality, as well as new post processing effects.
In Darksiders, players take the role of War – the first Horseman of the Apocalypse – who stands accused of breaking the sacred law by inciting a war between Heaven and Hell.
“Brought before the sacred Charred Council, War is indicted for his crimes and stripped of his powers. Dishonored and facing his own death, War is given the opportunity to return to Earth to search for the truth and punish those responsible.
Hunted by a vengeful group of Angels, War must take on the forces of Hell, forge uneasy alliances with the very demons he hunts, and journey across the ravaged remains of the Earth on his quest for vengeance and vindication.”
Here are the key features of Darksiders: Warmastered Edition:
- PS4, Xbox One and Wii U versions of Darksiders (Wrath of War)
- Native 1080p rendering resolution
- Doubled all the texture resolutions
- Rendering improvements and rework
- Better shadow rendering quality
- Post processing effects
- 60 FPS in moment to moment gameplay (PS4, Xbox One, PC, 30 for WiiU)
Darksiders: Warmastered Edition will be released on October 25th and will be priced at £14.99/$19.99/€19.99.

Hopefully they will give the people who already own Darksiders on Steam a nice discount.
I’ll take it for $5, I’m long overdue for a replay anyway 😀
Kinda just looks like the SweetFX profile I already have installed.
They have double texture resolution, atleast that means something.
Yeah the textures look much better now.
Lets hope its better than their last poor remaster of Darksiders II.
Looks outdated as hell, also the use of CA is kinda meh, even vignette sucks. Damn those ”post processing effects”. They mention ”Native 1080P resolution support”, i hope that doesn’t mean that it won’t support higher resolutions.
It has 4K support as well.
I wish that every dev that uses CA to have have a dual stream every morning resulting in a mess all over the place. And that he is wearing socks so they get soggy feet.
Also that during orgasms the image of their nan appears in their minds.
And that forever they buy bad shoes so it makes them walk very, very silly.
Creative!
wow just wow…
make a new game already.
The first was good it took my back in the days of zelda soul reaver devil may cry
The second one was
PREQUEL CUZ WHY NOT?
Now it is a rpg cuz why not?
Now you got loot and upgrades because why not?
Now you got health potions because why not?
Now the levels are huge copy pasted dungeons padded out to borderlands and dead island.
Now the cut scenes are comic panels
WHY WHY????
The next one should be like the first game.
Chromatic aberration is not gonna make the graphics better
Is it just me or does it look like CA is only applied (or at least applied stronger) around the edges of the screen rather than the center?
I’m thinking it will look much the same as the Deathfinative Ed of Darksiders 2. I appreciated the higher res menus but it didn’t look too different to me than the vanilla game. Its odd they decided to release DS2 remaster before DS1
hell yeah, Darksider 1 is the best one, 2 was ok but 1 is badass. hope to see 3soon..
Just adding to the anti-CA circlejerk here. Goddamn that looks bad.
“Post processing effects” Chromatic Aberration.. no thanks.
Are they going to release a sequel or are they just trying to make money ?
